Wasn't your last name "ZUKER" before you changed your name?

Guess who owns Verizon? GTE. They are trying harder because they are 2nd best.I will not place two adds. They are however welcome to place all chiropractors in a section with:name, city, and phonw # listing in a Chiros section for free...as they should, as a service to their customers.Hey! My name starts with "Ab". I'll be in the front of the list! Let's do it!Until some unscrupulous person changes their name to " A1, D.C." Dear List mates,I am sure you, like I, are getting calls to lay out you phone book adds for next year. Each year I have difficulty with the Verizon book from a economic or philosophical stand point. My Philosophy is that as a health care provider the public should get used to finding there physicians in one location in the phone book. In the Qwest and Worldpages books we are listed under Physicians-Chiropractic. However, in the Verizon book we are listed under Chiropractor and Physicians-Chiropractic. Does this double the potential for new patients from this phone book or double the cost of advertising in this book? I think the later. I doubt that adding a section title Medical Doctor would increase the patient volume of the average GP, or for that matter make any significant change. So is it our decision to decide if we want the public to know us as 'Chiropractors' or 'Physicians-Chiropractic', as it is in the other phone books? Or is the money grubbing phone company? I suspect that if as a profession we make a choice, Verizon would follow.By the way. Don't try to call Verizon to complain. They don't take complaints over the phone, only in person or in writing was the recorded message I received.Ted Forcum, DC, DACBSP, CSCSBack In Motion Sports Injuries Clinic, LLC11385 SW Scholls Ferry RoadBeaverton, Oregon 97008503.524.9040
