Guest guest
I've already written this to one list but am so mad I need to work it out of my system. A couple of weeks ago I wrote that tim would be in a foootball tournamount, special needs team, everyone gets a chance to play and everyone gets a medal. Well not so any more. I just got a phone call from the chap who organises the teams and tim would find it too difficult and the competition is too great from the other teams. Of course he is more than welcome to go along and watch all his friends play for 5 hours and if there is one spare he can also get a medal. The one place I expected equal opportunity, indeed where he was promised it and its been denied him. If he can't even play on a special needs team then what the hell is the point of dragging him to training every week? I am really pigged off. The reason tim would find it too hard is all down to the very iffy border drawn for where special needs lie. Most kids in his team are at levels 1-3 of the register, ie mild learning difficulties. I am really hoping that another lady who goes, who has 7 children, 4 of who play in tims age group, fails to turn up and they have no team (its 5 a side at tims age), becoz I am so cross I want this man to be embarrassed by having no team to speak of. But that wouldn't be fair to the other children but I am so angry I was speechless on the phone. They could at least have made him a sub. Turned down as having too great special needs to play on a special needs team. I am going to write a letter to this man, whether I post it or not is something else, I am SO pigged off right now. sue wong
