Just to fill you in on the post operative replacement feelings. Ihad my ICD replaced last Thursday, and felt reasonably well. Naturally a friend waited and picked me up to drive me the 60 miles home. I did go into the supermarket to buy a few items, and was quite tired. Next day I did the same alone, and was tired and had to go back home. I realized that I was pushing it and that just resting was best. The first and second nights the soreness of the wound hurt, to the point that it kept me up at night. Also where they had shaved my chest, it felt like a series of pins and needles sticking me each time I moved. Each day as they grow, that improves. and the wound is hurting less. My doc did give me sleeping pills, which are wonderful. I take one 15 minutes before I got to bed, and IM sleep soundly all night long. And feel wide awake in the morning. No Valium hangover or muscle relaxer hangovers.

Just to let you know, the medication is Ambien (50mg). It works very very well. You take one or two at night. I take one. Will continue with this for about a week and then see IM sleeping is better. If so, I will phase it out and give it up and only use it under difficult sleeping conditions, not daily. It is expensive. I don't now how much, but my copay is $20 for 30 pills. Yesterday, with a friend's help, I did plant 4 morning glories and 4 moonflower plants. There is still a great deal more to plant I have about 20 dwarf rhodos in yellows, reds, purple, pinks, whites and another 15 pink azaleas to put in. And more after that. I seem to be able to be handling it all. Getting up and down is not easy, but my friend standing up and digging and tamping, and me down planting and arranging, we get a lot done.

I think I am pretty much back to normal now. Let's see it was last Thursday so that's 5 days. Not bad. Best theo1415@...
