Lenate

I'm trying to locate an antiseptic/analgesic product we used in theschool clinic for sore throats called Lenate. It's a thick, viscous, strong Iodine tincture containing Guaifenesin, menthol and phenol. Thenear-empty bottle I have lists Maurry Biological Co. in Los Angeles asthe distributor. However, there is no listing for them now. I even had apharmacist try to look it up via the registry #: N 10719-053-25 , but tono avail. It's great stuff and will knock a sore throat in short order.Anyone know if it's still available?Lyndon McGill, D.C.Salem, Oregon(503) 362-5555-------------------------- eGroups Sponsor -------------------------~-~>eGroups eLertsIt's Easy. I have always used D.A.G. which is distributed

by Meyer Distributing. It is a non-toxic liquid (not particularly

viscous) has phenolated iodine with an Irish Moss extract and Organic Borates.

It is used as a gargle and I have found it to be phenominal.

Subject: Lenate

I'm trying to locate an antiseptic/analgesic product we used in the

school clinic for sore throats called Lenate. It's a thick, viscous,

strong Iodine tincture containing Guaifenesin, menthol and phenol.

The

near-empty bottle I have lists Maurry Biological Co. in Los Angeles

as

the distributor. However, there is no listing for them now. I even

had a

pharmacist try to look it up via the registry #: N 10719-053-25 , but

to

no avail. It's great stuff and will knock a sore throat in short order.

Anyone know if it's still available?

Lyndon,

If I am not mistaken, Lenate has some phenol in it and I believe it is not made anymore for that reason. Nevertheless, I have an ounce or two left that I guard closely. I haven't used the DAG speaks of but I think I'll order some. Steve
