celebrex-swelling of hands and feet?

i was told that i have ra and fibro. my doctor put me on celebrex and

i have been taking it for about 3 months and about 2 weeks ago my

hands and feet swelled up really bad. i stopped taking it about 4

days ago and they are still swelled, has anyone had this problem.

My dr. also put me on celebrex but I am allergic to sulfur and it caused my

eyes to swell. Pretty miserable I am recently taking predisone and Arava. the

pred. seems to help with the inflammation but really can't find that the arava

is doing much

for me guess the next step will be the enbrel. I'm not really sure about that

Kathy, The arava may do something-lots of my hair fell out but didn't help

the pain.

Hello, Nameless Friend!

Peripheral edema is a known side-effect of Celebrex (celecoxib). Have you

reported it to your doctor? Is that the only medication you are taking?
