Guest guest
I have sat back for many months and listened with great interest to the points of view this "list" represents. I respect the "lists" opinions but I do not necessarily agree with them all. I practice in a multi-disciplinary environment and have for 10 years. That is how I believe the patient is best served. I believe that one of the things we can agree on is that we cannot afford to fight amongst ourselves or we may lose the profession we hold dear. Their are other groups that are fine tuning themselves to deliver high quality physical diagnosis and conservative physical medicine treatment plans with out the distraction of professional internal conflict. Their is more to this game than just subluxations, manipulation or adjusting. These evidence based practitioners talk about topics such as neurologic re-integration and outcomes and do not get hung-up on professional purity. They then back up their clinical practice with outcome studies showing the efficacy of their care. Patient outcomes is what this profession is really all about. Outcomes, improved quality of life, improved endurance and function is why our profession has survived 100+ years and people have paid for our services. How about we come up with a way to put our outcomes up against each other rather than our rhetoric. Please take the time to look at this link. www.iaomed.com, Take a look at one little piece of the competition is doing. Darwinian theory says that any population that becomes isolated, fails to be challenged, to meet those challenges and change has an increased likelihood of non survival. This population will likely be replaced by another. So it's our choice, what do you think it's going to be?
