jesse's dr has ceased giving oxycotin to all his kids. he will find other

pain meds for them. iam worried that we won't be able to find one that wiil

work for jesse. we have tried 2 or 3 before he started the oxycotin.

jesse is going to be having an mri on his hips. will have to let you know the

results when we get them.

ya'll take care

Did the doctor say why he was going to discontinue the OxyContin for all of

the children? I'm so sorry to hear that.

I hope 's hips are OK. Are the bothering him a lot right now?

I would bet it's because of all the publicity-don't they understand that

using it for very REAL pain is NOT abuse?

gina,

the dr said that because he is such a high profile dr that if his name was

attached to a death related to the oxycontin he could lose his lic. and then

his kids would suffer.

i understand where he is coming from cause a man who comes to my house to

work on our computers stole some of jesse's oxyir(breakthrough). we decided

not to call the cops cause we were afraid of jesse losing his benefits.

needless to say, now i keep jesse's meds in my room. i don't think i have

ever been so mad. a grown man stealing from a child and make him suffer in

pain so he could get high. i did inform the dr what happend. i also changed

where jesse gets his meds from. now they come right to our door so nobody

knows where we get them from. it wouldn't take much for that man to go to our

drug store and pick up jesse's meds. all he would have to do is sign for it

and he could sign any name.

the dr said he can use other pain meds for jesse if he needed something

stronger the loritab. i know he won't make jesse suffer. that whole mess is

also why i haven't been on line until recently. had to find someone else to

work on computers.

jesse's right hip keeps popping and causing swelling in his groin. some days

are worse then others cause at this moment jesse is on no pain meds until

they are delivered.

iam off now to catch up emails. ya'll take care

That is a very sad story, . I'm so sorry. I can understand the

doctor's fears, but I wish he could work out some way to let continue

the OxyContin. Maybe when more " smart " pain pills come out, the abuse issue

won't factor into his treatment plan.

That computer repair guy is some lowlife! He should be ashamed of himself,

but I'm sure he isn't.

I hope 's new pain meds arrive soon and that the doctor figures out

what to do about his hip.

Dear ,

There was an article in today's paper about a new type of oxy they are

working on. It combines another drug with oxy which somehow makes it less

desirable for drug abusers. They are about 3 years away from making oxy in such

a way that if it is crushed or mixed with water, the narcotic will not work. I

do't understand that one at all!

But the fact that the med companies are working on it might help stop this

ridiculous business about banning it. They don't understand that addicts will

just find something else.

Jo,

Drug abusers crush the oxy and either inject it or snort it.

This new type is supposed to stop the abuse. You're right

though, the addicts will find a way. In the mean time I

wish people with pain weren't punished for the misuse of

pain meds by addicts.
