Wheeeeewwww Sharon, in the middle of your woes I can say I am so happy that Im not the only one dealing with a trying 10 yr. old ..... Sorry Monday was the worst day Sara's ever had in school, she was defiant, refused to work, called her teacher a jerk and her morning aide a farthead. Why didn't they call me was my response. They have called me before (this month) and it straightened Sara out for the rest of the day. Sara did have a tummy ache all Monday day and night so it could have been a bug but this month she has tried the patience of all. Sharon, someone on the list sent me a prayer, I was asked to send it to 7 people and make a wish, and that if I forwarded the prayer in so many minutes my wish would be granted. Now I usually don't jump on stuff like that BUT I was desperate and it gave me some quality prayer time....knowing the Lord would not let me down, I wished for only 3 days of good behavior out of Sara at school heehee tomorrow is her last day and day 3 anddddddddddd so far the past 2 days she's been great....at school and some at home. You can tell I was getting desperate lol I just didn't want Sara to leave a bitter taste in the teachers mouths at the end of the year Kathy mom to Sara 10............could this really be hormones????? Im hearing from a lot of you all with 9-10 yr. olds, with some challenging behaviors heehee
Guest guest
Kathy mom to Sara 10............could this really be hormones????? Im hearing from a lot of you all with 9-10 yr. olds, with some challenging behaviors heehee I am hearing much the same thing from Ted's teacher. He is not throwing chairs but the teacher is cutting him some slack on the *Good Day Paper thing. If he gets up off the floor and does his work...she doesn't count that against him. I am jotting down in the communication book this morning that I do see a nearly full moon out there. Plus...I told her she has to allow about 5 years added to Ted's cronological age as he is in early puberty and has advanced bone age by 5 years....so hormonally he is more like a nearly 16 year old! Guest guest
Some time ago, we had a talk by a parent who stated that our children age more quickly than the general population. Maybe that explains some things. Tim has certainly developed hair in places we don't see and he's got the faint outlines of a mustache and he's only 12 years old. Val ps The full moon is on the 26th. Its a wow, shock, it is....my older 2 boys are so light and Irish...they seem like late bloomers in the hair department! Ted does have a different Dad that is quite hairy though! lol It is the time leading up to the full moon that is the tough part....like the week or 5 days before it becomes really a total full moon! Thanks for the date...I really should get a calendar that tells me when! Gail
Guest guest
I usually watch for it Gail, because it seems to have a particularly bad effect on my boys with FASD. But, lately, Tim has been bouncing off the others, and he's getting into more mischief than usual. Re: Thank goodness school is almost out! Maybe that explains some things. He grew hair on his legs when he was in casts when he was 15. I mentioned it to the doctor who was quite bald and he smiled and said, " Ah, Hair. It comes and then it goes. " I loved that.
