Greetings Everyone....

Hopefully, all of you had

a grand holiday. Be sure to work off any of the extra food. It's really

tough not to sample everything at a family reunion type gathering. No one

wants to be the only one who does not sample Aunt Pat's noodles and face

the predictable interrogation. If you don't munch in moderation....

increase your "treadmill-time" to compensate for any excess.

And if Uncle Tom salts the turkey too much, just have a cup of parsley

tea to balance the rising water level. <G>

I am sorry for missing the

weekly ZAPCHAT: I got back to town late and logged

on less than five minutes after the last participant signed off.

Our growing family of people

thankful for the invention of defibrillators now includes a Massachussets

man. Tighe was rescued by an external defibrillator aboard a passenger

jet, becoming the first person brought back to life with such a unit aboard

a plane in flight.

Ironically, he's a Boston

city official who fought to have defibrillators put in public buildings.

How appropriate that someone who fought for the availability of the life

saving device would be saved in such a way! Bet he continues that fight,

with a more personal perspective.

Get details of his remarkable

story are available on CNN and MSNBC.... links to both are available in

The ZAPPER. Also in the newsletter this week:

Links to a fairly new website HealthCentral.com

- which mirrors to radio and TV broadcasts of Dr. Dean Edell. We

have also added their news collection to our daily scan for arrhythmia

related material for use on our News Page.

Did you catch N.Y.P.D.

BLUE? Maybe by our ZapChat next week,

I'll be ready to talk about Jimmy Smits' final appearance on the program

as Detective Bobby Simone. I am looking forward to hearing what others

thought about this awesomely written and very powerful drama.

We are still in need

of more submissions for our Zap•Life project to make this

a worthwhile effort. If you have not yet filled out a form...

PLEASE: Take a few moments to ship us your entry. We are especially

in need of responses from health care professionals.

Direct anyone interested

in taking the time (usually less than a half hour) to fill one out to www.duff.net/zapper/zap3.htm.

Thanks in advance. I can't think of a nicer way to indicate The

ZAPPER has helped make your trip down an often scary road...

just a little bit easier.

We are working on lining

up some guest for our future ZAPCHAT sessions...

Everyone is invited to join us, Thursday evenings at 8PM (EST in the United

States.) Special software is not needed.

Make the best of the remaining

days of the holiday.... and don't shop till you drop. You know what

you risk by doing that! <G> Stay well!

Duffey
