Ya the construction was just awful. NO way am i EVER going thru Ohio.... and on top of that an online game I play often has some real Jerky people ive had the fun of "knowing" all of the are from around colombus ohio ( scuse the spelling) The traffic really was awful though. we went back thru penn. and tiny sliver of NY and Ct.Was much less stressful even though we got in to a small traffic jam. Guest guest
Hi Kristy. No. but thanks for asking. As for my diabetes its been GREAT!!!!!!! tonight my sugar tested at 119. My 14 day average is around 110. Everyone seems pleased with my sugars, myself included. I still really really want a baby. Maybe ill get lucky and be able to adopt one someday when im a millionaire.. Anyway. yep my sugar is good. I never drink regular soda. That stuff is really awful for your sugar. and 500 is way too high. Im on insulin and glucophage. Mostly they willl just have to work with her till they find a combo that works. tell her to hang in there. Hugs. Guest guest
Yep i hear ya... Ive heard of so many cases where they return the child to the abusive parent... I'll never understand the courts definition of a " Family " . A self absorbed father and some woman they dont even know makes a family??? While a loving grandmother and grandfather who have known and taken care of them for most if not all of their lives is not considered a family? why cause you weren't the sperm donor..? Makes no sense. I hope you win. For those children's sake i hope you do. Any date yet? Melinda At 11:07 PM 10/22/01 -0400, you wrote: Yes Melinda, it is a shame as to the way our children have to suffer because of the laws...The children are begging to come home, but that is not going to make any matter in the courts, as they will go by the law books... We have had children put back into homes here in our area, just because the courts say they want familys to stay together, and these familys were very abusive to the children and they ended up dying by the parents hands because of it ( The parent ends up in prison and the child ends up dead ( Is that Justice ??? I'm sorry, I just am not handling all this very well...From Happy go Lucky children having not a care in the world to all they do now is worry and cry, is so heart breaking... Yes if I could I would take them from there and he would never see them again!!! But what life would that be for them, hiding on the run all the time ( Its a no win situation ( All I can do is hope and Pray that they look at the entire case and rule a fair ruling on the evidence, not on the law books... Hugs Helen Its so sad.. I feel awful for those kids. No offense to anybody but as for adults i could care less, its the children. they are the innocent ones. Why do adults do this kinda crap to kids. for the rest of their lives they are going to have problems from all this crap they are being put thru from their so called father.... It must be so hard for you to not just go over there and take them from him. Course you would be the one who was punished. I suspect even if he was beating them to close to death they would still side with him..... Its funny, I just red recently that Ohio was one of the worst states for Animal rights too. Animals- Children, two creatures ( for lack of a better word) that us Adult Humans are supposed to protect and love. I dont mean to go on but It makes me so mad. I really think they should come up with another word to use when talking about US, people......... Human and Humane just doesnt seem to fit our species anymore. Guest guest
Melinda, There isn't much that works for her in the way of medication. She's tried almost everything out there. Right now she's on Amaryl and Actos and now the insulin. She thinks that now she's on the Insulin she won't need the endocrinologist but I really think that she needs to talk to the dr about all of this b/c something else new out there might work for her. Oh well, one day at a time. ===== Kristy http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html Hoping to be a nurse soon but for now just a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences. __________________________________________________

Guest guest
I don't know how to make candy apples ( The paper plate idea sounds like a winner, will do that Sunday... We did have a good day ) We played pin the nose on the pumpkin ) I put several items in a bag and blind folded them and they had to identify what they picked out of the bag ) We Bobbed for apples, they all started squeeling when papa and I got all wet trying to get ours ) We did face painting, they had to face paint Grma too !!! I only have two cheeks, so one painted the back of my hand ) I had a bouquet of flowers and a rainbow and a pumpkin drawn on me ) Saedi wanted her ( old school symbol from here ) school bulldog and the school initials on her cheeks and the other two wanted Grma hearts on theirs ) We carved the pumpkins and had a beautiful day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will make the masks tomorrow they will like that !!! How are you doing today ??? ( mine or adopted) I really like macaroni paintings. macaroni necklaces hehe. I think they have a special mix thing at the super market that has the directions to make the candy apples. But it might not be fun anyway. The face painting was a great idea! I used to do it for money at a pow wow my parents have several times a year. I love to paint faces. Hope you all are having a GREAT day! Melinda At 12:24 AM 10/28/01 -0400, you wrote: I don't know how to make candy apples ( The paper plate idea sounds like a winner, will do that Sunday... Guest guest
HEHE ok. Ill tell him. You are known by name here in my house LOL. ( course there is just me and hubby)I hope the REAL date of Halloween goes ok. The poor kids always freeze here. I get annoyed when some little kid comes in 30 degree weather with no jacket on and the parent smiling behind them. Kids lips are blue cause he/she is freezing. " and what are YOU supposed to be? A popscile? " hehe Im also dreading the return of SNOW!!!!! i hate snow. Mostly because our sucky landlord never comes to remove the snow untill 5 or 6 at night, and my husband leaves at quarter to 9. SO somebody has to get out and shovel the entire driveway. :-P HUGGGGGGGGGGGGGS ( those are super big hugs) Melinda At 01:11 AM 10/29/01 -0500, you wrote: Yes, they really enjoyed the party...They were also telling everyone of the party they had at home Saturday night and how much fun they had !!! Guest guest
Hi Melinda I read about your bad day and almost cried myself because its almost exactly what happened to me summer of 2000. lost everything due to illness and had not been approved for disability and had to put boxes at my aunts and stay with her and thought "just get me through the day LORD!" I still cringe when I think about that time of my life because you really think it will not get better, but trust me it does. It takes some time and some ingenuity. YOU CAN MAkE IT! I now have a car again and a place of my own(no more living with alcoholic relatives) and the lower stress has made me feel better --I still have a long way to go but things will get better for you.
