Guest guest
Hi Pat Thank you so very much for the prayers and support. Jake is in Iraq for his 2nd tour. He comes within the next week for his 2 week R & R. Soooooo Excited. His wife Holly is ecstatic. Holly just graduated from nursing school. We are having a big Brewer game party. LDAC stands for: Leadership Development and Assessment Course (LDAC) ROTC Leadership Development and Assessment Course (LDAC) is the most important training event for an Army ROTC cadet or National Guard Officer Candidate. The 29-day course incorporates a wide range of subjects designed to develop and evaluate leadership ability. The challenges are rigorous and demanding, both mentally and physically. The Leadership Assessment and Development Course tests intelligence, common sense, ingenuity and stamina. These challenges provide a new perspective on an individual's ability to perform exacting tasks and to make difficult decisions in demanding situations. The course places each cadet and officer candidate in a variety of leadership positions, many of which simulate stressful combat situations. In each position, cadets are evaluated by platoon tactical and counseling (TAC) officers and noncommissioned officers. In addition to proving their leadership ability, cadets and officer candidates must meet established standards in physical fitness, weapons training, communication, combat patrols and demonstrate their proficiency in many other military skills. Cadets and officer candidates must excel at camp to be considered competitive for a commission as an Army officer. Hope you have a great Friday. I know that the ROTC stands for Reserve Officer's Training Corps, but what does LDAC stand for? Anyway, I have always thought that the concept of MALE nurse was fascinating, for some reason. I guess that it's just that I am so old fashioned that it is hard for me to conceive of nurses being anything other than WOMEN!!! Anyway, dear, please know that is and always will be in my prayers!!! How is Jake doing? What's going on with him? Have you seen or heard from him lately? Love always, Pat On 6/13/2011 6:46 AM, Rettig wrote: > > Hi all > Please keep in your prayers .
