Well, the winter viruses have finally struck this house. Katey possibly has

strep (waiting for test results to come back) and has been sick since Sunday.

had pus coming out of his ear (I was treating with steroid drops) and

then yesterday the green gook starting coming out of his nose. His behaviors

have been off the wall since Sunday. He rarely gets fevers - so it's hard to

tell when he is really sick. Both kids are on oral antibiotics - and I will

continue to put drops in 's ears. Tim is coming home today from a trip

to Phoenix - and he says he is sick, too.

So here I am, home with two sick kids, one imitating Chucky, the house is a

mess, the dog wants my constant attention, and I can't wait to get back to work

tomorrow!! We are also expecting snow - I'm going to work no matter

what...lol!!

Tim also was told that he had to go to Argentina in March for an air traffic

control conference. He went ahead and booked a seat for , too--she is so

excited! This is her graduation present. My dad is also going - he's never

been to South America- other than Cuba and Panama during his stint in the Navy.

And last but not least, my sister may be getting transferred to the FBI's

Quantico office -- yipppeee...I may get my sister in Virginia yet! She'll find

out soon if it's a go or not. She says she plans on watching for me so

I can go on a business trip with Tim!!

Kathy--enjoy your day! LOL......

Thursday

HI :)

Boy this week has flown by, hubby's had a few days off of work, so you wives

understand how we (females) have to supervise their projects lol

" I thought " today was a day that I was to spend alone, see two of my moms

scheduled a day off of work and the older school kids don't get home until

3:30 soooooooo I planned a day for myself (and my house lol)

God had different plans .............. schools are closed, ice and snow has

covered my yard and street. Soooooo I will have four kids home today .......

I'm going to look at this day, as a day to be thankful for, for not being

alone in my life. I'm going to take advantage of these four girls that will

be here, I will be a child today :) We will have a makeup party, possibly

" creep " (we are in the South) to Blockbuster and rent a girlie movie, make

TOLLHOUSE COOKIES. g, cleaning shampooing the carpets will wait :)

I think next time I make tons of plans for myself, I'll ask God first heehee

Kathy mom to Sara 11 ........... I don't have the toddlers today but I

imagine will bring Tater over ....... his snow boots are here :)

Kassia,

It sounds like your workout was tough. I hope you're arms aren't

hurting too much tomorrow. My arms feel " like jello " when I worked

them really hard (even if you say you only did it in 45 minutes).

i couldn't see what size the ball was but i am going to assume an 8 pounder just b/c its cathe and cathe doesn't use light weight in her advacned workouts(which is just how she referred to this segment before starting the workout). i dont' think she mentioned it and if she did i didn't catch it.

Do you know weight of the medicine ball she uses. I only have a 7

and 1/2 lb ball. (I got it on sale at Gaiam real cheap a couple of

weeks ago.) Is it too heavy? The only other ball I have is 3 lbs.

lol... way to go on eating properly kassia!!!

i also seem to do better while concentrating on doing one or the other

(exercising vs eating properly). when i eat lousy i tend to workout more

and harder. when i eat right, i tend to do milder workouts. it goes in

cycles with one being my main focus, then the other. so hang in there,

you are doing great!

Nice workout Kim. I'm crossing my fingers that my littlest DD doesn't get sick. My oldest DD (21) has the flu, she's missed 2 days of work already.

Oh no, Kim! I hope your DD feels better soon. Mine

has been sick twice this winter, fortunately, she

actually stays in bed and sleeps and is better by the

next day. I hope your DD does the same. How old is

she again, I forget, but I remember she is close in

age to mine who is 3 1/2.

Take care!

Donna

P.S. I just love that you're a FIRMie, too! I decided

that next week I " m going to do the Classics....I know

I Should do something else - I have tons of virgin

workouts waiting for me, but I'm on such a big FIRM

kick right now I want to finish up with the Classics

(It could have been Tess's post, too!) and The Classic

Parts (well, except for Standing Legs....that one is

too tough!)

i hear ya, kassia. im so sorry that things are tough going. i

know that it is hard to paste on a fake smile and try to carry on...

but sooner or later, there is nothing else left to do.

for example, my day started out great and progressed well, but a

horrible thing happened as i was taking the kids out to softball

practice this evening.... our little jack russell dog ran after my

blazer as i was going down the road, he was so small, i could not

see him around my vehicle as i was driving. he got under the

wheels and i ran over him :( he died at the side of the road :(

i am so sad and shocked... i cant believe that this has happened.

i feel like such an awful dog owner... running over my own sweet

little dog. i did not deserve to have him. i should have tied

him up before i left... i normally did that as he sometimes did try

to chase other vehicles going by. and i was driving too fast

because we were running late. so, now ive had 2 dogs die in the

last 3 weeks. besides my dh and kids, they were my only

face-to-face friends and i loved them so very much.

oh my.... i had better not go on about it any more, i feel so bad.

i just want you to know that you are not alone in feeling tired

of crappy things happening... i hope that it gets better really soon.

hi lisa! coincidentally i was thinking of this workout the other

day. i should get it out and do it again one of these days. i

agree that it isnt anything earth shattering, but i do like kendall

hogan. he has a crunch step workout that is a real hoot! (easy

but really fun).

yes i have some stott pilates workouts... some i like, others just

drag on too much and they are boring. i happen to have one on my

desk though (another rental) -- _core balance - ball pilates_

hopefully it wont be really dry like some of stott's other dvds.

Oh, that step workout might be one I should put in my queue. Let me know

how the ball workout is. I really enjoyed the yoga workout on the ball

(don't remember who does that one...).

Hi everyone. The thunderstorms hit after supper (as they did for severalothers on this list, I'm sure), and we were without power for about 9 hours.Had to clean out the fridge this morning. :-( Good thing we had groceryshopping planned for today - didn't have to throw out all that much, considering. Freezer was good and full, thank goodness.Today I did the Firm's Jiggle Free Arms (I really like that workout, and myupper body is fried), and now I'm going to hit the mat for some yoga. Now,I'm off to the tmill to walk - I've a half-hour planned for today, althoughI will likely split it into two 15-minute sessions. since ive done it. im so glad that it has been good for you!

as for my workout today, i ran the dog with my bike for 45 mins in

the fresh gravel/sand that has been laid on all of the roads around

my house... that made the ride a bit more challenging. but when i

got home i proceeded to have a nap! ugh!! how do i increase my

energy?!? i have been trying hard to get more sleep, but it doesnt

seem to be helping :( im going to have to force myself to do a

better workout tomorrow, whether im tired or not!!!

Hi Everyone,

It's a good thing that I committed to be accountable for doing my LL breaths,

because today would have been an easy day not to do any, however because I was

committed I did 50.:-)
