Hi, Gaylynn - Wouldn't you know I re-loaded my supplement containers for the

next 2 weeks yesterday and threw away my Maca bottle, so I don't know how many

milligrams it was. But, I think when I went to the health food store, they all

had the same amount. I take 2 a day.

I started taking Vitamin E too because I'm taking fish oil and heard I needed it

as well. How much Vitamin E do you take? I didn't know it would help too with

the night sweats. Those hot flashes are something else aren't they? Covers on,

covers off, all night long!! LOL

Love,

Melinda :o)

Re: Hi Everyone (Melinda)

Hi Melinda,

I a member of the little life change club too! Was wondering about the Maca

and how much you take. I want to try that too.

I think Karma mentioned Vitamin E a while back so I added that to my regimen.

After weeks of miserable night sweats, I have had about 5 good nights in a row.

Since I don't sleep much as it is, I feel so much better when it is not

disrupted.

I really appreciate knowing what works for others, thanks for sharing!

Take care,

GayLynn

Hi, Wanda - Maca is an herb that comes from a root, I think in South America.

It's really helped me a lot. They call it an adaptogenic herb, meaning, it will

help balance you in whatever direction you need.

Love,

Melinda :o)

Re: Hi Everyone (Melinda)

Hi GayLynn,

Well our little change club is growing. : )

I never heard of Maca; what exactly is it?

Years ago my Mom took Vit. E for her hot flashes and it helped her.

Most of my hot flashes (I think) are over; yet I'm not 'quite' there

yet. : )

Great to see a post from you,

Love, Wanda

Thanks Melinda, I will look at the dosage recommendations on the bottle and go

by that. I take 400 iu of the Vitamin E. I have not made any other changes to

anything so I'm pretty sure that the E is helping me.

The " covers on, cover off " comment just made me laugh! So true!

Thanks again,

GayLynn

Hi Wanda!

I see that Melinda has given you the scoop on the Maca. I looked it up after

she mentioned it and plan on trying it--I had never heard of it before but it

looks interesting. Will let you know my report in a few weeks.

Have a happy weekend!

GayLynn

You know what, though? I don't know about you ladies, but I wouldn't trade

being this age for anything. I feel more fit in many ways, waaaayyyyy smarter,

and I'm having lots more fun than I ever did in my 20s (not that my 20s weren't

good, because they were!). I just think we women are coming into our own at

this age and from what I hear, it all just keeps getting better.

I feel the same way Melinda. I am loving my 50's and I am free to be me--I

don't worry nearly as much about what other people think and just am happy to be

where I am. Hugs, Connie

Wanda, don't you just love our group here? I know of few other places where you

can find encouragement like we all share here. I'm very thankful.

Love,
