A blessing for me this week is to think that I'm 47 years old tomorrow and I

still have my parents and my in-laws. I talked to my Dad this afternoon and we

reminisced about when I was 2 years old and he took me to see Santa Claus. My

mother had just had my little sister 6 weeks before and mom had the mumps, so it

was just me and Daddy. A cousin of mine had dropped me and broken my leg, so I

was in a cast that went to my hip and Daddy carried me and pushed me in my

stroller. I don't know why that is such a vivid memory for me, but I've always

treasured it as a very pleasant gift. Anyway, I didn't mean to digress, but I

was so thankful when I was talking to him that I could still enjoy my parents

every day. What a gift.

This was a great idea, Virginia - - an attitude of gratitude.

What a beautiful idea Virginia.

Well the week is young yet; and I've been blessed with about 5

blessings that come to mind. The week started with a leak in the

main water line between our 2 bathroom walls. I am blessed that my

husband took that day off to relieve me of the responsibilities of

getting this taken care of during the day; so that I could actually

get a little sleep. I'm very thankful too that my Uncle, handyman

that he is; came over and mentored my husband in fixing this

problem. Yes, it took hours and it was a huge mess; but the

financial cost was minimal since we didn't need to call in a plumber

and my husband and I got to go to dinner that evening; a true rarity.

The next blessing that came the next day was Aunt had emergency heart

surgery and appears to be doing well; she could use prayers to get

her thru this as she also has a drain in her lung.

I have so many Angels and Blessings in Life; that I feel like the

most fortunate soul on Earth. I am thankful for everything sent my

way; every lesson and even every struggle. Goodness knows we learn

from these.

Virginia, I'll never tire of saying how awesome you truely are!

Hi, I think this is a wonerful idea and have enjoyed reading everyone's

blessings :-) Mine is this week my 2 daughters (age 33 years and 37 years) and

my Mom ( 73) and me (57) started going to a bible study together on Tuesday's

mornings, it is on how to be a Godly woman today OR the New Eve--it was a real

blessing! Love, Connie

ps--- did my reflexolxgy tape today for a headache, it always amazes me how well

that works! My husband came in the bedroom and saw me massaging my ears and

just held up his hands and backed back out and said " I don't even want to

know " I had a good chuckle. :-)
