Guest guest
Hello all of you healthy, beautiful, sleek, slender, shapely bright, energetic LifeLifters- I have only had a few minutes on line the past few days so I am catching up reading your posts. Wow!!!!! You are all so amazing. It would be impossible for me to read these posts without smiling from ear to ear. Your messages this past week are just wonderful. I love, love, love seeing how you all care for each other. I love the open letters you sent. They are great. Since I only have a few minutes on line tonight I will adopt your wonderful idea to say hello and to tell you how truly wonderful you all are! Here are a few key things that will make it much easier for you lose weight and feel great. Eat foods with high water content to fill you up and make you feel more satisfied while adding less calories to your intake. These foods are also high in fiber content so they help your body release the excess for better weight loss success. Remember that water is essential for everyone. Our body requires a certain amount to maintain our blood osmotic levels, provide the medium for circulating and excreting waste products, and cleansing the interstitial tissues. You need water to have a totally healthy weight loss. Two factors play an important role in what makes food less calorie packed and more filling: Water. Many fruits and vegetables are high in water, which provides volume but not calories. A grapefruit is about 90 percent water and has just 39 calories in a half-fruit serving. Carrots are about 88 percent water and have only 52 calories in 1 cup. Fiber. High-fiber foods such as vegetables, fruits and whole grains not only provide volume, but also take longer to digest, making you feel full longer. When you do your LifeLift workouts make sure you are mixing them up a bit. Try to do something a little different every few days. For example one day you can do 10 LifeLift breaths (5 minutes) with the belly rub that Laurie suggested before you get out of bed. I have come to really love that one. Then early in the day or mid day you could do the Workout #1. That is 20 minutes and gets you off to a really good start. During the day you can do several short sessions of 5 minutes, 10 LifeLift breaths without poses, while driving, sitting at the computer or anytime you are busy doing other things. Evening do 5 minutes in bed, either with the belly rub or while doing some mental positive affirmations. I love to do this before I fall asleep. I like to count up the positive things that have happened in my head while doing some LifeLift breaths and creating mental pictures of what I want to happen in my future. That positive energy is wonderful to help lull you off to sleep. The following day you could replace workout#1 with workout#2 (15 minutes) and then do your short sessions at a little different time of the day and maybe add a few poses while doing them. I have started doing something that I love. I found a medium size ball (I bought it at the drug store for a few dollars). I like to sit in my chair or prop up on my bed and hold it over my head. I slowly drop it behind my head while doing LifeLift breaths. Make sure the movements are good and slow and very precise. This gives you a great, easy, fun workout for your entire triceps(the back of the arms) and it works your arms, your shoulders and it even helps to elongate your spine and neck. I had my physical a few days ago and my doctor had lots of positive things to say to me. I have grown taller, instead of shrinking like most do at my age and the nurse said she thought it was because the LifeLift breathing and stretching that I do on a regular basis has helped to stretch out and strengthen my spine. I know my back and spine feel stronger and healthier than they used to, so one more reason to love those LifeLift breaths. I will try to get back in a few days to write more. I wanted to say that I have Wanda's husband's link to his artists web site on my links at my oxygenlift.net web site. I am the proud owner of one of his beautiful pieces and my brother-in-law owns one too and he loves it. Wanda sent me a couple of pictures of the art awhile back and I instantly fell in love. I knew the minute I saw the other that my brother-in-law would want the one he purchased so I sent him an email so he could see the picture. Mark is a remarkable artist and I am proud to say that I own something that shows off a piece of his fabulous talent.
