Hi Virginia,

This is a beautiful poem, and I love the beat!!! I read it out loud

under my breath, and I just love the sing song beat this poem has!!!

Very good, my friend, very good!! And your daughter has something in

common with my late Mom, and that is that they have the same

birthdate!!!! So, I noticed that immediately, of course!!! Please keep

up the poetry!! You are really good!! Did you ever think of getting

your poetry published????

Love always,

Pat

Oh, Virginia, that's the sweetest poem - - it made me teary-eyed! Thanks for

sharing it with us.

Love,

Melinda :o)

OT " First Home " Poem

Thought I would share with all of you a poem I have

written for my eldest daughter for her birthday that

is October 16..she will be 26

" First Home "

by virginia hutton

flesh of my flesh

bone of my bone

under my heart

was your first home

a precious gift

sent from above

to train in His way

and to share our love

mistakes were abundant

that's nothing new

we did our best

as you grew and grew

now your a mom

with baby boy who

has your hair color

and your eyes of blue

flesh of your flesh

and bone of your bone

under your heart

was his first home

a precious gift

sent from above

to train in His ways

and share your love

mistakes will be abundant

that's nothing new

the mantle of parent

passes on to you

what will you teach him

how will he grow

you'll always wonder

and want to know

you'll hope for a future

and do your best

then comes the day

when he'll leave the nest

flesh of your flesh

and bone of your bone

under your heart

was his first home

Thanks Pat. I found a poet on the web, Kisner,

who writes the most beautiful stuff and he has had a

hard time getting his published. His group is Poppy's

Pals. He writes all kinds of poems but a lot of them

are about his family and his late wife.

I haven't gone to his web site for a long time so he

may have shut it down, I don't know. He is definately

worth a read.
