Guest guest
Hi there . Congrats on the fat loss. I think you'll really like body for life. And I know you will adore this group. I do. So much good info and advice, and support. It a great mood booster for my day. Grace reddarling25 <no_reply > wrote: Hi. I'm a total newbie here and to BFL. I just started my first challenge ever on Monday. I've been reading some of your posts and found them so helpful and supportive that I wanted to join in. I'm 5'7 " , 137 lbs, and going to be 29 this Friday. I used to be a size 16 and 190 lbs, but I took that off through watching portions and cardio. Now I need to step it up and put on a few muscles since my arms have starting looking like sticks and I've always wanted a firmer rear. And abs, oh, to actually see flat abs. My boyfriend recommended BFL and we're doing it together. We did the Italian turkey burgers from the Eating for Life recipes last night. Yummy. And then I did my lower body weights this morning. My arms are still a little sore from Monday Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself. Take care everyone.

Guest guest
What a great quote, Thanks for sharing. I will need to post that to my head these days. I need all the motivation I can get, I have been feeling like a lazy slug the last few days. I hope your voice comes back soon, and your blisters clear up. I know how hard it is to do a workout, when your tired..blistered..and can't even verbally yell out in frustration. Well, I hope writing it out helps. I'm so glad to hear you had a great time with your family. It's so nice to get a workout, when you feel as if it was not work at all. Thanks for sharing, ~ shinyglo569@... wrote: Hi all, So far so good, I am plugging along everyday. This is the 12th day without any voice hardly at all. Throat is so messed up but still going strong. Got terribly sunburnt playing with the kids at Warren Dunes on Sunday. Try playing in the water jumping up and down and up and down, and treading for 5 plus hours. Talk about some cardio. We were playing tag in about chest high water. That is some major hard work. Whooooosh. Legs felt like they were dying!!!! But it felt great to be playing with them in the water and just having a good time. But then when all the blisters from the sunburn appeared on my back on Monday....then it wasn't such a happy happy time... *wink* but managing. I did miss my workout yesterday because I worked 14 hours, plus had the sore throat and the blisters, but still ate clean and today will be a much better day. Anyways I hope everyone has a fantastic day, and I thought I would leave everyone with a phrase I made up last year when I was going heavy and strong in BFL and I have it up on my desktop as my background. " Each day is a day to start fresh, correct past mistakes, and repeat previous successes; Don't end the day without doing something great for yourself or for someone else--always strive to learn and become better; on the inside and out! Guest guest
Have you checked out 's website (www.skwigg.com)? I kissed my monitor when I found it! It's very motivating, or at least it was and is for me. There's also the Hussman site at www.hussman.org/fitness. Mostly, there's all the FABULOUS women on this site. We are all here to support one another, but there's a tremendous amount of wisdom here for you to tap as well. As far as the fatigue, I had that problem a while ago and found my thyroid was just a little slow. I've been taking L-tryosine every day and haven't had any more trouble. I also went to Outback and had a steak dinner (totally BFL authorized) and felt like a completely new person the next day. Best of luck to you! Guest guest
Hang in there! Don't think of it as failure... you've just learned more about what doesn't work. I've been beat every night this week. Hitting the hay at 11 p.m. That just isn't me. Still you know what I keep thinking... to get up at 5:30 and get the workout in... a quote from ... who won the Buff Mother contest... " Never sacrifice what you really want for what you want right now. " Also... start analyzing how much rest you are getting, and try to find ways to get more. You can do this!! Guest guest
I just saw this quote which I think probably applies to all of us in our quest for BFL: Supposing you have tried and failed again and again. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call " failure " is not the falling down, but the staying down. ~ Pickford > I'm glad to see there is a group for women! > > I did BFL in 2001 and after many failed restarts I am beginning my > sixth week. Guest guest
Thanks for the tips. I did the emergency workout and am probably going to change my nutrition a bit. This morning I was thinking that I'm not getting enough veggies. I'm going to try some suggestions from 's site. A steak dinner is sounding really great about now! Where can I get L-tryosine? Thanks again! > > I'm glad to see there is a group for women! > > > > I did BFL in 2001 and after many failed restarts I am beginning my > > sixth week. Guest guest
I got my L-tryosine at Wilds Oats, but I think that might be a chain just in the northwest. I'm sure you could find it at Whole Foods or any ol' grocery store in the pharmacy-like section. It's not that special of a product. Guest guest
Hi , Did anybody get back to you with tips on where to find raw milk? (Direct from farmers only in MN). I hope so! You may also want to check out the info stored at tfmn (groups), Gotta have a ID to access all those features, but there's tons of info stored in database, links, files, etc. If you still need help, just email us folks on the list again. Thanks! Sara R. I am very worried about that. Any tips? Anyone? Thanks for your help and thanks for the website! L. PS Less expensive organic meats and produce would be nice too. Less expensive than Whole foods that is.

And be patient and persistent, until you get a response. These folks are busy as you can imagine. In my experience, if you call Mom's, she will get back to you eventually. Kim N.
