Guest guest
Melinda-I hope that you will reconsider. I run several lists and I allow spirituality there but the subject line has to say so and those who do not want to read it can just delete it. some folks need spirituality to make it as i do and that does not mean I flaunt it at all, but it is understandable that some cannot tolerate it. triggering subject lines helps that a lot and gives everyone an opportunity to express what is true for them in their lives. carol On Fri, 22 Mar 2002 09:04:10 -0500 "Melinda" <mydragon@...> writes: Dear Friends, Been a long hard road to come to this decision. Guest guest
Melinda, I hope that you will reconsider too. I was really looking forward to catching up with you! Yes, organized religion can be a real pain in the ass, to put it lightly, but I have often felt stifled, afraid to say what I wanted here, and I feel releived that the ban is lifted. I know the thoughts & prayers of the people that care do make a difference- that has been holding me up for the last few months. I miss you, > Melinda-I hope that you will reconsider. Guest guest
Jenni, I hate to see you go....you've been one of my favorite people on this list.... Have you considered creating an account just for this (and other non-business) mail? I have a account that only has my contract work directed to it - it works for me..... I don't know whether you could simply turn off all audible signals from one account but not the other - bet you could. Also, there are other (non-) free accounts out there, too..... Anyway, hopefully somehow you can stay in the group, but if not, I wish you well! Bonnie Jenni <usaflaglady@...> wrote: Hi all, I decided to just leave the list. I know it is nothing to most of you, but I can't handle the priority mails. To most it is just annoyance, but with us getting our business off the ground they are causing problems. Since I can't take the priority " off " of the emails coming in on the list, it is better for me to just leave. While I haven't responded often to the list, I have been active in the sense of the reading all and keeping you all in my prayers and thoughts. I will continue to keep you all in my prayers and of course you know you can always email me privately. God bless all of you. Jenni Hi All! A question for you > > > Hi all! I'm . Guest guest
Bonnie, I never thought of that! What a great idea! That way I can just go there and read the mail and not have this darned computer dinging all the time! love, Jenni Hi All! A question for you > > > Hi all! I'm . Guest guest
I emailed Jenni and told her about the digest mode. It will take care of the Priority messages alert. Then she can still keep up with all the list happenings. Hopefully we can keep her on the list. We love you Jenni Jen Hi All! A question for you > > > Hi all! I'm . Guest guest
Hi Jenni, I am so very sorry about this!!! I wish there were some other way you could handle all the " personal priority mail " you get and separate it from the " business priority mail " that you get. I will miss you, dear. I would love to have your private email address, so if you would send it to me via this list before you leave so that I will be able to continue to correspond with you, I would appreciate it. Thanks a lot. Maybe some time in the future you will be able to return to our list. I know what we will all miss your input as far as your experience with LL goes. May God bless you always, dear!! Guest guest
There you go, Jenni!! There's your solution. See, Bonnie had a viable answer for you!! So, now are you going to stay with us? I hope so. I truly hope so!!! Bonnie, thanks so much for providing Jenni with her answer!!! You were such a dear for suggesting that Jenni set up another email account with another ISP!! Guest guest
Actually, it won't work because I cannot add another address. I tried. I also tried the digest and it still dings. We have had so much mail that while digest doesn't come as often it is still coming often enough to set my computer dinging. I just wish you could turn off your priority permanently Pat. Then I wouldn't have to leave. I don't understand why it keeps coming back on if you've turned it off. I've been on this list for years and never had a problem like this before. But like all things I guess even people are expendable after a while. Take good care as Rashelle would say. Jenni Hi All! A question for you > > > > > > Hi all! I'm . Guest guest
Jenni - I just went in and created another account - wonder what is different for you - maybe because I work with a bunch of different machines and this one is on another box? I do know that my primary bon_mathis account always says Hi Harry (so must have been created on my husband's laptop?) and this one says Hi Bonnie (created here at work). and my contract work one says Hi Bonnie (so which computer did I create that on????? who knows!). Although I work in the computer industry, I am NOT hardware literate! However, what I did was I signed out of this session, then went to , and created a new account. Fortunately, whatever the priority setting is (don't even know where the thing is, I absolutely HATE noise on my computer) I'm not bothered with any dinging....wouldn't that be a mess here at work! Sure would be nice if you could find a solution - I'll miss your updates re your family - sort of feel they're part of my family too! Lots of Air Force heroes!!! Guest guest
I DON'T HAVE MY HIGH PRIORITY SETTING ON, JEN!! HONEST I DON'T!! I AM SENDING EVERY EMAIL I SEND TO THE GROUP ON " NORMAL " PRIORITY NOW, AND HAVE BEEN DOING THAT EVER SINCE YOU STARTED HAVING THE PROBLEM!!! LOVE ALWAYS. Guest guest
I don't know anything about computers. The only thing I can do is type. I learned how to type on a typewriter in the 1960s and 1970s!!! God, do I hate typewriters!!! Thank God they are not used anymore, although I understand that they are still on the market for sale, although God knows why!!! I guess that some people still do type on typewriters because they are so much cheaper than computers. But then one doesn't have access to the internet on a typewriter, not to mention that they have to mess with typewriter ribbons (YUCK) typewriter erasing (Does anyone rember correc-type? It was little pieces of ontion skin papers that you used to have to put inbetween the ribbon and the platen (that long bar than was somewhere in front of the ribbon of the typewriter over the carriage? Remember those horrible typewriter carriages, with that long handle that you used to have to smack every time you wanted to type a new line? YUCK, YUCK, YUCK!!!! Guest guest
Hi Jenni, I hope we can get this figured out so you don't have to leave the list. I personally don't understand the priority. I can't remember the last time I felt anything I had to send was a high priority. :-) I think we might be able to get it fixed. Karma Hi All! A question for you > > > Hi all! I'm . Guest guest
Hello Dearest Jenni, I will try to see if there is some way we can fix this. I do not want to lose you. There are many of us who feel you are such a special and important member of our group. I will see if I can help Pat fix her settings so this does not keep happening. I can see that several of the messages have come through as high priority so since she has changed her settings maybe there is something we can do at the site to fix it. You may not get this so I will try to send it to you at your personal email address too. Be Healthy and take good care, Rashelle Harness the Powerful Benefits of Oxygen with LifeLift.
