Hi Christie

Thanks for your insight.

> Just a single remedy chosen for me on classical homeopathic

principles. No mystery, but I don't remember what the remedy was -

wouldn't matter, of course, as the remedies are so individualized!

>

What are classic homeopathic principles? I didn't realise there were

different types of practice.

> I was treated by Cummings, MD, in Half Moon Bay, CA. I had

been having my period every 12 days for a few months, along with

agonizing cramps, so bad I had to stop the car and get out and bend

over a few times! My GP insisted I would need to go on hormones

and/or have laser surgery. In this case I said NO WAY and went to my

homeopath. He gave me the remedy, and my next period came at 28 days

and I've never had another menstural problem since. It's been... 8

years? Maybe more?

I was on the PIll for 10 years - it's screwed up all my hormones, and

when I came off the pill, I developed endo. I had surgery (key hole)

and then doc put me back on the Pill, and I felt like death! So

decided soemthing else had to be done. There is something out of

kilter with my hormones, and it requires on going treatment.

anything acute or serious like endometriosis should be cured or

substantially improved immediately.

Endo is a chronic disease, not acute. I wouldn't expect it to be

cured immediately with homeopathy.

Very, thanks!

Classical homeopathy is where the practicioner doesn't use multiple modalities

(chiropractic, herbalism, supplements, nutrition, acupuncture, etc) on the same

patient at the same time, or give " drainage " remedies or multiple remedies or

combination remedies or remedies based on a timeline, doesn't use machines or

kinesiology to find your remedy, doesn't rely on " intuition " to guess your

remedy. They sit down, generally for 2-3 hours for the first visit, take a

comprehensive case that covers all your mental, physical, and emotional

symptoms, and then, using a repertory of homeopathy symptoms and materia medica

of homeopathic remedies, select the one single remedy that matches your overall

symptom picture most closely. That remedy is given usually once, if a dry

pellet, and sometimes several times or on a schedule, if liquid. The reaction to

the remedy is monitored and the next step in the case is determined by that

reaction.

I apologize for the confusion. I said acute and serious conditions should

improve immediately, which made it sound like I could have been referring only

to conditions that are BOTH serious AND acute. It was my intention to say that

EITHER serious conditions OR acute conditions should improve immediately. Also,

while a chronic condition in one sense, endometriosis is also an acute condition

in another - while you may have endometrial tissue outside of the uterus for a

long period of time, the actual flare-up of severe symptoms is itself an acute

manifestation of a chronic disease.

Regardless, I'm simply saying that effective homeopathy shouldn't leave you the

same or worse after six months. You should be better. In fact you really should

be MUCH better. As I said, it can take a long time to fully cure your case, but

the most serious manifestations and the presenting problems should be much

better very quickly. And in my case, all my *presenting* symptoms went away by

my next period after being given the single correct remedy. I still had other

symptoms, including my already-much-discussed gall bladder problems, LOL, but my

endometriosis symptoms resolved very fast.
