Hi Balsam,

both metronidazole & erythromycin can be used for patients with pencillin allergy, but the most frequently used in dentistry here in the uk is metronidazole, therefore i willl go for metronidazole.

But pink book says erythromycin has been replaced by Clindamycin reference from

antibiotic section in pharmacology

I am sorry Ahmed ,but still erythromycin,because if you want an antibiotic with similar antibacterial spectrum to penicillin and also for penicillin allergic patients you prescribe erythromycin.reference:p.505 Scully 6th edition. Hi,

sorry to confuse you with me yesterday, it's for sure depends on what you're targeting , plus depends on the case given in the q itself.

also, wanted some help with those qs

patients with the treatments provided below, in how many months we should do the review after the completion of treatment?

1- implant

2- crown & bridge

3- rct

4- removable partial denture

5- compelete denture

6- pt with whitening treatment.
