Guest guest
Hi Melinda, What are you taking for your thyroid? I'm so glad that you're feeling better!!!!! Love, Liz --- Kiki, honestly, you sound just like how I've felt. I'm beginning to gain more energy now with my thyroid medication (been on it a week and a half) along with the other hormones. I still drag through some days, though, so I know my levels are not totally right just yet. Please keep me posted on things that are helping you. Maybe they would be good for me, too. Guest guest
Oh that's great Melinda... Right now I need to go the sup route and it's helping SOOOOO much... A small start to healing, but a start... I refuse to see a Dr that won't do the tests I want and KNOW I NEED! They work for me, they aren't the gods {small letters on purpose} some think they are... The Armour should really give you such good relief from your symptoms... I've done so much reading on all this... It seems as soon as I get done with hours and hours of research, on one thing, something else decides to rear it's ugly head...LOL I'm really happy for you... Guest guest
My doctor put me on Armour. I'm so glad I finally found someone who did more than just the standard TSH test. She did 4 different tests related to thyroid and said that I was low on T3 and T4. It didn't show me being low on the TSH test. Go figure! I'll fill you in later on everything else - - oh my goodness, there's more! But overall, I'm feeling better, and this whole thing explains a lot. Thank you for asking, Sweet Liz. Guest guest
Thank you, Kiki. I knew I could count on my friends here for support (I'm so grateful for that!). I agree about the doctors. I'm so glad I finally found one who would really listen. I just wasn't sure what I needed or where to start, otherwise I would be on the purely *supplement* route, too. I think that's almost always better. I'm still fighting overwhelming fatigue at times, but I do see a big improvement. I hope you're doing better. Please keep us posted - - we can at least pray, you know, especially if you tell us how we need to pray for you. Love, Melinda Re: Re: Melinda --- Thyroid Oh that's great Melinda... Guest guest
This is really an interesting conversation. I've been on and off Armour for about 2 years. I have succesfully self-medicated for all that time. I can tell when my thyroid is out of wack and whether I need to up or lower my dose. I've been comfortably at 3 grains now for a few months, but sometimes I need 4 and sometimes I'm doing fine on 2. I'm amazed at the stamina I have from it. I have especially noticed the ability to run for longer periods of time and I am totally convinced it is the Armour. with love, Jenni Proud Air Force Mom! May God guide and protect our troops! Guest guest
Oh, good, well maybe I can hope to feel MUCH better, then. I'm just on one grain right now, and I'm having more blood work in a couple of weeks. The doctor said we'll adjust my doses of it and the hormones as needed at that time. Anything else I should know? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!!! *g* Love, Melinda ) Re: Re: Melinda --- Thyroid Oh that's great Melinda... Right now I need to go the sup route and it's helping SOOOOO much... Guest guest
Jenni, No, I was never told to take it under my tongue. Do you let it dissolve? Does it dissolve? The only thing I hate about taking Armour is they stink terrilbly!!
Guest guest
Melinda, I have been on it for about 6 years. I was feeling that super tired foggy feeling that I just couldn't shake. My eyelashes were falling out quickly too. This is a big thing for me because I have always had long, thick eyelashes. My voice also gets really gravelling sounding and deeper than normal. I was getting very cold. Hmmmm...........I can't think of any more things but I know there were more. For the most part it is better but I have times where I feel it drops. I have to be careful to eat very little food with soy in it because it makes my thyroid crash over night. Seriously!!! Reflexology has helped more than anything. I actually have lowered my dose since doing Reflexology so it seems like my body is actually kicking in a bit with producing more hormone for me. I don't know how many grains I take. How do you know that? Mine just goes by mg. dosages. Take care, > Wow, really, ? How long have you been on the Armour? What kinds of > symptoms were you having prior to that? Are you lots better now? Guest guest
, I can't imagine life without Armour! It works so well! Did your doctor tell you to take it under the tongue? It absorbs better. I always take mine that way. There is a great site for thyroid....I'll have to get the link. A dear friend of mine runs it. Here name is ....her and (who I've never had the pleasure of meeting or talking to but seems like such a sweety) have been doing this on their own for years trying to educate the public and give helpful info. I think their site is thyrophoenix.com but I'll have to check. warmly, Jenni Proud Air Force Mom! May God guide and protect our troops! Re: Re: Melinda --- Thyroid I take Armour too! Guest guest
Connie, Armour is a natural thyroid product. Often times when you get older your thyroid can be at the root of a myriad of problems....low adrenal too. I order mine online, but if you get a decent doctor they will test you for more than just your tsh. They will also check your t-3 and t-4 which is really important. Armour is actually the " thyroid of choice " by most people on the medication. Many people find that the synthetic versions of thyroid just don't do the job. with love, Jenni Proud Air Force Mom!
