Guest guest Posted July 12, 2003 Report Share Posted July 12, 2003 I wonder if the old Macro's on the list that experienced receding gums, etc. were soaking their rice and throwing out the soaking water prior to cooking or not. . . I did this in early Macro years (1975 or so) but noticed that the trend by '85 and onward was not to take this step.I wonder if this contributed to our symptoms associated w/Brown Rice? Then of course, it'd be most ideal to get fresh brown rice, grind off the shavings and use them to make pickles like the Japanese, then eat the white rice. . .
