Not to mention that the cows that are getting hormones are all in the US,

where we have too much milk on the market by anyone's count (not

GOOD milk, mind you, but there is no general milk shortage).

I get SOOO tired of these legal manueverings and propaganda. I would

love some " news " that concentrates on " what is true " rather than

" what advances my cause " .

I think you are right about this one. I have heard several speakers

(Vandana Shiva being one. Can't spell any of the others) lately talk about

India. And although India has a lot of poverty now, prior to colonization

by the British she could not only feed her own people she was a major

exporter of food and textiles. Then the brits came in and changed their

economy to suit British needs at the expense of Indian people. That is of

course what Mahatma Ghandi was about. But it still happens when a factory

comes in to a town and water is diverted to support manufacturing rather

than local food productions. There is a lot of rationalization of how this

factory will provide jobs but it does not make up for the amount of damage

to the local economy. these things tend to be much more complicated than we

are often lead to believe.
