Guest guest
If you look at my previous posts i did write full mouth periapicals but the question is the new guidelines state that * means furcation involvement only not that it means pocket greater than 6mm which then makes horizontal bitewings in posteriors a good alternative optiion too but why not anteriorly? bitewings can be done anteriorly, its just not commonly done.Like when you have a score of 122,332 then even you say you want horizontal bitewings, you never mention periapicals unless it is related to a selected teeth. i am not saying what i am saying is right, its just a way of thinking and so i am actually asking why not From: narjan grg <narjangurung@...> " " < >; "aqsaburki@..." <aqsaburki@...> Sent: Friday, 23 March 2012, 13:11 Subject: Re: Re: BPE SCORE Hi Asqa I think u dont have anything like anterior horizontal bitewings..u have posterior hirizontal bitewings but never read of ant horizontal bitewings...i might be wrong!!! Guest guest
thanks for the information, but can you please clear which radiograph we do for furcation is it a periapical or vertical bite wing? I am so confused regarding this. and for a case like *2* / *2* what all radiograph will be take if asked in exam? here we have furcation in 4 sexants so should we go for 2 vertical bite wings? or 4 IOPA or a DPT ? I hope I am clear in what i am trying to ask. divi From: ebtessam elhamalawy <ebtessamhamalawy@...> " " < > Sent: Friday, 23 March 2012 8:08 PM Subject: Re: Re: BPE SCORE thanks so much From: Aqsa Fatima Burki <aqsaburki@...> " " < > Sent: Friday, 23 March 2012, 20:00 Subject: Re: Re: BPE SCORE i m telling this from the new guidelines that score 2 requires no radiograph , also some said abt not doing any radiograph when there is furcation involvement,According to selection criterion for dental radiography you must do a radiograph for furcation involvement since it tells u morphology of root and furcation which is not possible to assess with clinical examination only From: ebtessam elhamalawy <ebtessamhamalawy@...> " " < > Sent: Friday, 23 March 2012, 17:11 Subject: Re: Re: BPE SCORE hi ammardo u have a link for the new guideline u just mentionedthanksebtisam From: ammar k <ammarkiliddar@...> Sent: Friday, 23 March 2012, 17:08 Subject: Re: BPE SCORE thanks for the information, I checked the updating u r right. but in rcs course about OSCE'S, they mentioned BPE 2 take horizontal bitewing.
