Guest guest
I got the most beautiful big fat chicken livers from the Farmers Market this week--I've never seen livers this fat from a chicken before. They're currently cooling in my cast iron skillet in the middle of the recipe for chicken liver pate in NT. It smells so good my liver-hating husband is going to want some and he don't get none! Not after all that liver-bashing. Well, maybe I'll give him a taste... If you're in Portland and want some gorgeous chicken livers (and other chicken pieces), this is the grass-fed organic poultry seller at Portland Farmers Market; they're always there on Saturdays at the PSU market with a big refrigerated truck on the southwest end of the market. I got some chicken legs and thighs from them while I was buying the livers and it was the first dark meat I'd eaten in an age that I could stand--it was really good. Lynn S.
