wow! what about those no off-shore or onshore experience though with ACLS &

ATLS? ive been here in this group for quite long & i want to have experience or

Hey bug love,

I am going to reply to you here without my usual sarcasm, because I think

you are already frustrated enough, and I you can really use the advice.

First- Board etiquette

This board is not the place to sound off about your alphabet cards,

particularly ones that are considered standard must haves in most countries.

MANY MANY MANY potential employers, myself included lurk on this board, and if

you show that kind of frustration over a post seeking resumes that was not

specifically addressed to you my " high maintenance employee " bell goes off. Just

something that simple can and will send your resume right into the trash.

I was once asked in an interview if I was afraid of heights. My honest reply

was " no more than the next guy " meaning just that...I don't have any problem

climbing on my roof to trim the trees, but I don't hang out on ledges of tall

buildings for fun...Turns out this employer had a serious issue with a guy

having a panic attack on an oil platform. That simple casual turn of phrase

sent me permanently into their circular file. Be aware that you are an

investment for an employer. They profit from you. Your lack of experience means

you are a risky investment. Put yourself in their shoes and be calm and

reassuring, not frustrated and aggressive.

Second- Heed Austins advice. Use this down time to collect certs. Ask the

board about what ones will be relevant to the specific fields your interested in

working. The more focused your training, or more ridiculously over certified

you are, the more likely you will fit into a box that someone needs filled. In

the end it is just a waiting game to break into a circle. You will find once

you have done well for a company they will be eager to pull you in again.

Third-Job search- NOBODY is going to post... " seeking completely untested

frustrated new guy " Employers spend a lot of money to put you on station. The

experience factor is not only about your medicine it is also knowing you will be

able to handle an atypical environment. The surest way to determine that is to

see a lot of completed contracts on the resume. Many a medic has done the quick

turnover when they realized remote work was not for them. Every time that

happens it is lost money in terms of billable man hours, recruiting and

mobilizing replacements, and potential PR depending on how you decided to go

out. Just keep applying for all the positions you are qualified for regardless

of experience, and like the man said. Eventually you will get your " warm body "

offer. Don't feal slighted or shy, this is the break we all had at one point.

Nobody walks into the good jobs without putting up with some crap ones first.

This is a slow period right now so don't be too anxious.
