Guest guest
Hi Gail, I order their products (fermented carrots as well as sauerkraut & beet juices). I don't know what type of plastic is used. I'm not happy it's in plastic, but it's one of the concessions I make. I don't know about the reaction between fermented foods (kept cold) and plastic. Once I open a bag I store the contents in a glass jar. I believe they try to ship on Mondays or Tuesdays and it takes 1-2 days to arrive. Sometimes customer service has been a little slow responding to email orders, but I think they might have gotten better recently. The order is sent in a styrofoam cooler and I can't remember if there was a freezer pack. The vegetables are sent frozen and are still basically frozen upon arrival. I order a lot at once (cause shipping is so expensive), put some in the freezer and some in the fridge. BTW, the owner of the company was at the WAPF conference in May, but I didn't get a chance to speak with him. > I looked at this site a while ago but did not order anything at the > time. Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for giving me the information. I may try one or two of the products since I can't find the time to do lacto fermentation right now. I deplasticized everywhere I could but I still can't get away from the stuff! I use all glass in the house but getting glass enclosed products shipped is impossible. If the fermented vegetables are frozen are the enzymes still preserved? I am going to call ank ask and post the information here. By the way... I earlier posted a question about frozen goat milk on th board. I later asked a goat owner about frozen milk. Her opinion was that some enzymes were lost with freezing. Thanks, Gail > Hi Gail, > > I order their products (fermented carrots as well as sauerkraut & > beet juices).
