Guest guest
>(Heidi, I believe) mentioned her weight was dropping as she found >herself only eating about 1600 calories/day with high fat intake. I >get hungry on that amount of calories even with it heavy in fat. I also cheat and keep track of what I eat, and eat every 3 hours if I get the " hungries " . I find I get horridly hungry if I eat some food I react to -- I suspect it has something to do with intestinal absorption or cortisol. When I react to a food, I get cold hands and feet -- and the next day I am RAVENOUS. So I do allocate my food in portions, realizing that my " appestat " is not working correctly during those times. Once I get that way, I can eat a truly horrendous amount of calories and still be hungry. So I try to munch on carrot sticks and such until the " hungries " go away. Part of why I'm tracking my diet is to figure out exactly what I need to eat to not be hungry all the time. The high-protein high-fat lower-carb thing seems to work most of the time, until I get a food reaction. No easy answers! -- Heidi
