Guest guest Posted February 20, 2012 Report Share Posted February 20, 2012 I dont think the answer is gingival tear, as soflex discs are gentle on gingiva (source:internet), since soflex discs are operated on low speeds, i dont think gingival/mucosal burn is the right option. So in my opinion, lack of finger support can cause the disc to slip into mucosa and cause mucosal tear.
