I didn't know a lot of this. I had no idea Hain Celestial had been

bought by Heinz (though come to think of it I thought I read something

in WSJ about it and Heinz has an interest but not controlling

interest...). Thanks!

will be owned by just a few large conglomerates. adding to the list, seeds

of change was bought out by one of the larger food companies - don't recall

which one. and solgar is actually owned by monsanto.

As of yesterday, Hain Celestial is still its own publicly traded

company, so it doesn't look like Heinz owns it. In fact, Hain

Celestial issued a press release a few days ago saying they have

acquired Acirca, the parent company to the Walnut Acres brand.

What I do know about Hain Celestial is that it didn't exist as such

less than three years ago. Some guy with no natural foods background

but an eye for trends started acquiring natural food companies left and

right and finally ended up with both Hain and Celestial Seasonings

(along with dozens of others). Seems as if their basic tactic hasn't

changed.
