Guest guest
I believe that some people can become fat on a high fat diet as well. But I do know that fat has 9 calories per gram. So if you are a sedentary individual or say a toll booth operator who just sits and doesn't perform some form cardio or weight training you're sure to gain weight. I do believe in Metabolic Typing and the fact that some people do well on Hight protein diets and some people do well on higher carb diets. But if you're looking to be as healthy as possible I think NT is for everyone. But if you're trying to lose weight or have esthetic goals it may not be the best thing for EVERYBODY. I know that Fat doesn't cause an insulin response so if insulin isn't elevated fat will not be stored. BUT! I do believe that calories do count in some instances. One thing I want to mention also is that on this forum we are all trying to eat as our ancestors did but were not getting the total package. Were forgetting something very important that they also did. Our ancestors moved allot!! They hunted there meals, they picked vegetables and walked miles on end to the ocean to fish. Our ancestors were very active! We all know that eating this way is beneficial but eating the NT way without exercise is like expecting to see changes in health by exercising and eating like crap. Some people see incredible benifits from the NT diet just imagine if they put the whole package together.
