Guest guest
le- >Does anyone have any resources for raw milk, pastured beef, etc. >here in NJ? For raw dairy check out www.realmilk.com, except you'll have to wait until the site is back up, unfortunately. For pastured beef, well, I'm sure there are some local sources that some Jerseyites can help you with, but I do recommend you look into ordering directly from farms. You get better prices by cutting out the middle man, you support the farms more, you get fresher meat, and you have more control over what you get. It does require a little initial experimentation, though, and having a dedicated freezer is helpful at the very least. www.eatwild.com is a great compendium of sources for all kinds of pastured animal foods. -
Guest guest
le, I strongly suggest that you contact the individuals listed under Weston A. Price Foundation Local Chapters for New Jersey: http://www.westonaprice.org/local_chapters/local_list.html It is my understanding that many Jersey-ites make milk and butter runs to Pennsylvania and/or have pools organized for the purpose. in Berkeley

Guest guest
Where are you looking? Some say East Brunswick is good. I live in Milltown and they try hard and listen to input. I will be homeschooling but have friends who are getting decent help here.
