Guest guest
Hey guys, just wondering if anybody can point me in the right direction, been working offshore now for nearly a year in the dutch sector. Ive rearly started to take an intrest to the safety side of things and just wondering besides nebosh, what other courses would i have to attend to be considered for a safty role as well as medic. And is the general nebosh cert or the diploma the way forward?. Thanks guys john @...: cpfmedic@...: Wed, 30 Jan 2008 10:58:38 +0000Subject: Re: INFLUENZA PANDEMIC PREPAREDNESS Ian,I'm not on a rig or ship and the reason for my post was that I have been reviewing a corporate asset protection guideline and a very extensive guidleine produced by one of the better known medical assistance companies. The company I work for has a stockpile of Oseltamavir. As per my original query I'm asking if anyone has actually gone to the trouble of distilling a corporate wide policy into something practical for a remote site bearing in mind that a pandemic would likely result in the closure of international borders and a moratorium on air travel(bearing in mind that air travel was a major factor in the spread of the SARS outbreak of ? 2003)so that those of us at remote locations might get stuck there? If your on about the recent outbreak in India, it is in the Northern areas around Calcutta, and has only been reported in chickens.> > > -----Original Message-----> From: cpfmedic <cpfmedic@...>> To: > Sent: Wed, 30 Jan 2008 13:56> Subject: INFLUENZA PANDEMIC PREPAREDNESS> > > > > > > Has anyone drawn up site-specific action plans for a remote location or > infection control procedures/materials lists in the event of an > influenza pandemic ( Avian flu related)?> > Regards> > > > > > > ____________________________________________________________> AOL's new homepage has launched.
