Somethign to do with the fermenting process I've heard. Don't know the accuracy

of the info though. Some green teas will say the caffeine content on them.

Afterthought on that, Suze. Barks are above the ground and need to be decocted

like roots because of their hardness.

Think I'll attempt it after the youngest is out of high school in 3 years.

Been

getting up with children for school for 25 years. This one I drive carpool or

meet the carpool at 6:45. Am a morning person but thats ridiculously early to

have to move. Nevermind without coffee.

Front of my Guayaki Yerba Mate bag says naturally caffeinated. Website is

guayaki.com Go figure. The natural caffeine in coffee isn't added just

adjusted by roast length. Do agree that yerba mate is a healthier

alternative

and is different than caffeine.

------->my bag of yerba mate says it contains something called

" mateine " ... " and alkaloid similar to caffeine " according to the label. but

it says it affects the nervous system differently than caffeine does - says

it is a *cool* stimulatant, whatever that means. i have no idea if this is

just marketing hype or what. but thought i'd throw it in there.
