Guest guest
Short story: All time on the job site is considered working time. So while you are on a rig, you are 'at work' (24 hrs/day), rest time and other time off is not exempted. Apparently you Brits have some kind of 'can't work you to death' protection that Americans don't have, and would need to get more time off if the Jaeger principal is applied--UKOOA says if the principal was applied to oilfield workers they would need to work an 8 days on/20 days off schedule to comply with applicable labo(u)r law. Long story: Available at http://www.oilandgas.org.uk/media/view- press.cfm/403 Not in that area, but I looked it up when I first saw the term. Anyone know which way they are leaning on this or when the decision would come down? Are they looking at medics seperately? ANyone know when the decision will be made?
