I have many different labels and sizes and prefer to design my own rather than have them made. I design the size, etc. that I want and print them onto full page labels and then cut them out. Labor-intensive, but works for me right now. You could also use the templates provided and purchase the labels in the sizes you need. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Very easy just take a piece of paper and cut the width of the soap and wrap it around the soap and tape at the back. I use my computer to print my labels on the strips before I cut them. You can be really creative and use fancy papers. If you really want to go farther you can shrink wrap the soap and band. Guest guest
, go to Staples or wherever and get some of those avery sticker labels. Lot of people use those. Shaye
Guest guest
Hi , I use Microsoft word for all my labels. For those odd bars I usually wrap in plastic and put an appropriately shaped label on the back of the bar... like an oval soap would get an oval label and a square soap a square label.. my hand mold I use an oval label also. In word you can use the " draw shape tool " to make these shapes... to add text to a round or oval shape use the word art " tool to make round and curved text. If you poke around in my file (thistle meadow soaps) in the group you can see some of my labels.... they are all done in word. I use it too for my cigar bands for my cphp soaps. I use glue stick to stick these in place (except for my cigar bands and when I don't have time for my Xyron or a cartridge [i'm out and need a refill!] ) Also you can use clear packing tape (some hate this method, but I've been semi successful with it) to laminate the label. I pick up 3.5 in wide packing tape at Staples and I think it even comes in 4in wide. Hope this helps, Terri
Guest guest
, I think the soaps done in MW molds would look nice placed in a cellophane bag (punch a hole or 2 if it's cp) and tied with ribbon or raffia and a hang tag. You can use Word or any program like that for hang tags. Just create a table and put your info in there so it's lined up nice and then cut them out, punch a hole and hang them. Hope this helps. Guest guest
When you say " wrap in plastic " do you mean something like saran wrap or what? I am SOOOO uncreative....

Guest guest
There are lots of good places online but if you're looking for someplace local then I'd definitely start with the florist. I can't remember if 's carries them or not. Good luck! Let me know if you need some sites to check on the web. Katy Re: labels I didn't even think of bags!! Now where is a good place to get them?? Guest guest
-- I would also be interested in the label replies. I am desperately looking for any type of vendor who prints professional waterproof/resistant labels. I need the type of multi-colored, matte and/or semi-gloss professional-type labels for both jars and bottles that you would find on any mainstream/retail-type cosmetic. I have already designed my labels, I just can't seem to find a place that will print them in any sort of quantity and with the quality that I need. Would anyone be willing to recommend a printer, either brick and mortar or online, that I can use to achieve these types of labels? Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Meagan, I've been trying to find the website of a gal that designs labels. Tracey Gaskill? I can't for the life of me remember her site, but maybe someone on this list knows her? I've heard she does great work. If you want to do your own labels, I sell 8.5 x 11 sheets of waterproof vinyl labels for inkjet printers. You choose the layout, print on your inkjet, & cut out. My customers have had incredible results w/these labels. They don't smudge & they hold up very well on bath & shower products. Here's a quick link if you're interested in more info: http://www.elementsbathandbody.com/index.asp? PageAction=VIEWCATS & Category=242 You can get them as low as $.60 ea. Best of luck! Email me privately if you have any questions. Tammy Tivis http://www.ElementsBathandBody.com tammy@ elementsbathandbody.com " Meagan Micozzi " <meagan@b...> wrote: > Hi! Guest guest
About Labels. I don't know how much it costs to buy them, but why not buy a simple printer and do your own? I've seen them for less than $100.00, and it's got to pay for itself in the long run. My boss left me a printer/copy/scan/fax machine, I can download all kinds of stuff off Microsoft, Avery, and other sites, make my own. BUT--get this--I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET STUPID PC TO DO IT!!!! If I knew someone in this area who was a PC smart, I'd be helping out everyone. I am a Granny who has trouble programming her cordless phone!! Anyway, maybe look at pawn shops for a printer, the blank labels are inexpensive. R. PS Don't laugh too hard at this predicament!! lol! Guest guest
That's a great idea, I know Office Max has the capacity to do it, but you have to talk to a someone who knows they can do it. Hi , What I do for my labels is design them myself on Microsoft word and then copy them to disc. I take them to a printer and have them print them on a color laser printer. Using a color laser printer, ensures they will be water/smudge proof. You will have to call around to several printers, because only certain ones will do it because it is a bit of a pain. Hope this helps. -
Guest guest
OfficeMax told me to just bring my labels in on a sheet of paper and they would do something that would make them look printed on a laser printed. Not sure but I wouldn't have to bring them the exact lables Good luck
