Offshore medics courses

,

Any Offshore medics course will pretty much be accepted for remote work,

but not for CP work unless you are SIA registered, but then again some

companies will put ex military medics into team in Iraq as Medic/Door

gunner. I know a class 2 medic working for a company at present in Iraq.

Most training providers offering offshore medics courses are accredited

by the Royal COllege and to be honest this does not mean a great deal as

far as most employers are concerned.

You should also consider Capita in Scotland and North Sea Medical Centre

in Yarmouth, they are very good. I suggest you steer clear of Interdive

and Nottingham Royal Infirmary as one runs it's medics course with a

dive medics and ships captains course and the other allows ODP's and

class 2's on it's course and you won't get any advanced training unlike

the other providers.

Regards,

Stew.
