So far for us, only one has gone broody per year. Like they decide who is

the highest caste and that one gets to have chicks? I feel sorry for that

one though -- she'll sit on the nest and just sit and sit, won't eat ... we

take the eggs she lays anyway (no rooster) and she gives up after about 20

days.
