But if you live in North Cyprus where I hear land and property is cheaper then

you have to employ Mrs Cherie Blair (nee Boothe) to defend your property rights

from those Greek people in the south...at least I understand that in the North

the Turks have got a fresh water pipeline from the mainland...but how are you

and the family enjoying your life there Ian ?

I have spoken to a French chap we have on board and the figures are correct

except for foreigners who simply get onto the tax free bit by putting everything

in the wife's name, who is a non tax paying resident, and then coming home on

R & R to be with her...!

Of course you are now obliged to remember birthdays, anniversaries and

International Women's Day...but you get to eat great food and drink lovely local

wines and not pay tax to Mrs Blair's bloody husband.

Spend 180 Days out of the country and you can live tax free in Cyprus.

Decent property laws for foreigners as well but getting expensive....

Re: Re: France

Hi ,

Please keep me informed of what you find out as I quite fancy the idea

of living somewhere in Europe.

Anyone know the Slovenian tax code?
