Hi Penny sure ill send it to you-----if you want to make 8oz heres what

you do=1 cup of brown sugar-- i cup of oil (almond, safflower, extra vigin

oil) 10 drops of your EO's of your choice. you can add less than 10

drops or more depending on your personal preference. Mix everything up

in a zip lock bag....mix and kneed with your fingers until completely

blended then add to your containers ! Some people use glass

containers.....i feel safer with plastic especially if youre using it in

the shower....be careful it makes your tub slippery! I just finished

making brown sugar orange-spice scrubs and peppermint scrubs, & white

sugar Jasmine scrubs! Came out great! Experiment with your brown

sugars----like add vanilla extract-cinnamon oil, rum oil, toffee oil

coffee oil!!!! HTH~ask me anything and ill do my best to help you

anytime! *hugs*~Misty

While I really have gotten alot of personal email requests for this

recipe, I have decided to post a general " laundry list " of ingredients

for those of you who are willing to play with a recipe.

Sorry to not give exact amounts, but I worked long and hard on this, and

I also sell this, So-here goes:

Start with around 2 lbs. of Brown Sugar (dk)

Add to it, some sweet almond oil, Apricot seed oil, and Emu oil

Also, some EOs of Ruby Grapefruit,Fresh Ginger, Sweet Orange, Lemon,

Helichrisum, and some others in the same area (you get the drift).

I also add Phenonip to this, to avoid " nasties " when dipping wet fingers

in and out of the jar.

This is awesome, your skin feels so good, I use it in the shower, and by

the time I get out my skin feels like a Baby's. Yep, it tastes good, but

dont eat it!

Have fun!

Ronnie

PS-Misty-Nope-dont want to sell it, I am a " product collector " -heehee.

jk

I just dont use it anymore, because of the time involved. Could be

sometime I will use it, when I HAVE the time. When that is? Who knows?

For now my Scrub works great, is less time, and is always in my shower!

Ladies-when using this scrub, or ANY scrub dont forget those HANDS!! A

dead give away to your real age!

Deb,

I just made my first brown sugar scrub. It did not sperate nor have hard

lumps and seemed really nice to me. I mixed 1 cup packed brown sugar, 2

tablespoons almond oil, 2 tablespoons apricot kernel oil, 1/3 cup finely

ground oatmeal, 1/2 teaspoon vitamin E oil, and fragrance or essential oil to

suit your taste.

Just curious, do you make up that much for yourself to use at one time? I

could never get thru that much in months. Or is this recipe for you and

others?

thanks

Hi, did you put honey in your brown sugar scrub? I made one awhile ago that had

honey in it and it lumped up pretty bad. It didn't seperate, but the lumps were

hard and unattractive.

How long was the brown sugar scrub around? Could the honey have crystallized?

I made a big batch and added a tbsp to mine and havent had any problems so

far. What I used was brown sugar, sweet almond and grapeseed oil, honey, and

glycerine - it's not sticky at all, oily though (but I guess it's supposed to

be right?) I made a harder brown sugar and not so much liqudiy

Hi . I had the scrub for about a week at the most! It really did work

well, and feel great, except for the lumps! It was the first brown sugar scrub

I had attempted and maybe I didn't mix it properly so it got " lumpy " . Not sure,

but I have since made one that included raw brown sugar, and so far that one is

really holding up well. Unfortunately, that one has aloe vera gel( the real

stuff, it's thin) and I don't like how the smell of that comes through. More

tweeking and more experimenting to come!

I need to make up some brown sugar scrub, and most of the recipes that I have

found require Vitamin E oil which I do not have.

Can I use Opthimum (spelling) or do you have any other suggestions? I have

Avacado Oil but once it is opened I have to refridgerate it.

TIA

You are talking about Optiphen plus, which is a paraben-free preservative. You

can purchase Vitamin E capsules at any pharmacy, and pop them open with a pin,

to get that stuff in your scrub. It depends on the size of your batch, but

vitamin E acts as an antioxidant for the oils--it extends their shelf life.
