You probably went too far with the witch hazel. It takes a little practice

to know when to stop spritzing and start packing into the molds.

You could also goto www.lorannoils.com She has decent prices and

many molds for candies as well as some soap molds. Sheven has some

cough drop molds too!

I just used my hands and roll them into a ball! Though I did buy a

mellon baller to try. I also have some Candy mold/jello molds I'm

going to try.

Hmm, I have a rubber one. . . I should try it. Oh, and I have the little

tins.

Thanks, . The bathbomb makers are interesting because some people love

them and others hate them.

I don't see why not. However, you're going to be using such a minute amount

of water / hydrosol in the recipe that it may not be worth it to use them in

the first place. Perhaps essential oils, instead of fragrance oil? It all

depends on the strength of your hydrosol, of course, but aren't they

generally rather pricey?

Yes, you could use hydrosols. Are you using them for scent?

Instead of water, I use 91% isopropyl alcohol. The alcohol evaporates away,

leaving the ball hard rather quickly. It's only 9% water, but the alcohol acts

as the liquid binding agent before it has evaporated.

I agree w/Patty. Hydrosols are so expensive  and Idon't blv their scent will

throw. Esp with the baking soda.

I have never used hydrosols in my fizzies. I try to keep the mixture

as water free as possible. I am thinking of leaving the coloring out

and letting the herbs color the little fizzies. Let us know how

hydrosols work!!! Thanks!!!

Hi Patty

Thanks for your comment. I only use EO's in my products and so I am too worried

about the price. I may just do a small small amount and test it out. I also have

seen some that have shea butter added to it. That looks pretty cool..

I do too. I love it. The recipe I use has Shea and Mango Butters as well as

almond oil and sunflower oil. There’s something else too, but dang if I

remember.

Hi Amy

I love the idea of the alcohol. I would have never thought of that.

I am using the hydrosol partly for scent (although minimal) but also partly for

the added qualities it can bring to my final product.
