Not aware of any stipulation for offshore installations but onboard ERRV's

it depends on the class of vessel - A, B or C. The number required

correlates to survivor capacity. Management Guidelines can be downloaded

from Publications page at www.errva.org.uk

Alan,

There is no regulated number of Advanced First Aiders required by law on

platforms.

On the Elgin, all our Caterers are Advanced trained, so are our Satellite

Platform OIM's. We also have various others who are require to go to our

satellite platform, we operate on a minimum of 2 Advanced First Aiders for

the satellite crew of 18. Reson for two rather than one, is so that if

one of the Advanced First Aiders ends up as a casualty, we always have one

who is trained.
