Guest guest
I have heard (though not verified) that you can apply camphor to warts, and with repeated use, they will eventually fall off. I'm not sure how long that " repeated daily use " takes, though. Guest guest
You mean besides going to a graveyard at midnight and swinging a dead cat over your head 3 times? Most cures for warts are local in that they kill or dissolve the affected skin. I remember using ASA paper (essentially aspirin) as a kid for plantar warts. I have also used silver nitrate (and a very very very long time) to remove a regular standard ward from my index finger. If you go to a physician they will either use a freezing or cauterizing wand to burn or freeze it. You can now buy something similar to the freezing method in a for home use. You can also take the brute force method and use a scalpel or razor knife to extract them. In any event warts are symptomatic rather than causative. By this I mean that when you see a wart, there is a virus at work, and unless you kill the virus you will have the wart return.
Guest guest
When I was a CHILD we used castor oil to suffocate the wart. Painless anyway tho it does take some time. HTHWillow PS I'd probably by the home freeze pkg since it's avlbl From: Bradley M. Small <Bradley_Small@...> Subject: Re: warts! Guest guest
HI Lucinda I have heard that applying tea tree oil, then covering wart with duck tape for 2 weeks, is a remedy, although I do not know of this first hand, but it is worth a try. However, you have to keep the original duck tape in place at least 2 weeks, no peeking! Also, warts are caused by the " herpes virus " which stays in your system forever, and erupts as warts, cold sores, etc,. It can not be eradicated, sorry! I also have it but has not bothered me for years. hth Sherry Natural Care Ebooks www.naturalcare-ebooks.com

Guest guest
whoah wait a minute, Lucinda,I think you are talking about something like genital warts.  eh hem...I don't think all warts are from herpes. For example, plantar warts are tumors from human papilloma virus types 1, 2, 4, or 63. That's an HPV ~  NOT an HSV [herpes simplex virus] as I have learned it. Can you provide any info on your statement from a reputable source? Willow From: Sherry <sherryabarker@...> Subject: Re: warts! Guest guest
As I understand all the common warts, including plantar, common, and genital are from one of the 130 or so HPV viruses. I have never heard of Herpes S. causing warts. Considering, the eruptions it does cause, would appear to be the opposite of a wart. Guest guest
the freezer product available at the health/food/drug stores worked well for my husband. The way it is packaged-it seems that the product is stable - even if not used quickly. hth, Jewell > > > > I hate warts! > > Does anybody have any natural remedies for warts? > > > > Lucinda > > > > Glenbrook Farms Herbs and Such Inc > > What's on Sale? > > http://www.glenbrookfarm.com/store/specialsseeds_1.html > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I had a huge plantar wart on my foot that was getting in the way of my walking. My MD suggested Duct tape. You wrap it around your foot and like a bandage and something in the adhesive kills the virus and gets rid of the wart. Ask your Doc about it.
