Guest guest
Hi all, I have been loking at doing some refresher training this year as my skills are getting a bit rusty. I did do my offshore medic course last year but don't think it went into as much depth as I would like. So I am looking for a place where I can do such things as; ALS PHTLS Thrombolytics Advanced Coronary Care (Need it for the north sea) Wilderness/Remote Rescue etc ( I quite like the idea of snow rescue) An Occupational Health Course First Aid Instructor Training And anything else anyone thinks is a good course for the guy who needs a bit of a brain strain. Recognised providers only for the ALS/PHTLS please. No cowboys please, and courses that actually instruct, rather than just read the required text would be greatly appreciated. Please email me offline so we don't clog up the page. Thanks in advance, Mick --------------------------------- On 7 Messenger: Make free PC-to-PC calls to your friends overseas. Guest guest
Actually, I don't think this would be a clog at all ... it'd be interesting to see what everyone would recommend for refresher training. Guest guest
A slight misreading; he said it is 'not an attendance course' i.e. not one where you just have to attend to get the cert. Guest guest
Hi Iain, Well i like the look of the place but can someone assist me with how to overcome this obstacle HPC qualified ambulance technician - No HPC qualified paramedic - No Registered nurse involved in immediate care - No Fully registered medical practitioner ie SHO and above -No Currently serving military medical personnel Left < 2yrs ago Health care practitioner with evidence of prehospital involvement from either an ambulance service or a hospital - Does the uptown phase of the Offshore Medic's course count for this? I would still like to do this course but the HPC charges foreign medics a s**t load of cash just to look at thier documents and I still want to stay with a reputable training provider. I apologise if some of these questions seem basic to some people. Cheers in advance Mick IAIN HAY <iainhay@...> wrote: Hi, my names Iain, try Murrayfied hyperbaric training centre in the wirral they run DMT,ALS and one of the best PHTLS courses around.I work there part time ,they are not an attendance course ,contact 01516488000,regards Iain <safety_mate@...> wrote: Hi all, I have been loking at doing some refresher training this year as my skills are getting a bit rusty.
