Guest guest
Connie, I have a little to lose. Stress weight. BUT, I allowed myself to not do anything about it for far to long. Unless you call whining about it doing something...LOL I'm sorry, I don't have any type of cookie recipe. I'm not a sweet eater really, so it's never been something I looked for. If I find any I'll be sure to pass it a long. Love and Blessings, Kiki
Guest guest
Mets {I'm sorry, if I should know your name, I don't seem to} I ALWAYS listen to my body. Just sometimes it says stuff I should ignore...LOL What I meant is that I got off track by listening to people who do Adkins, and adding way to much fat into my diet, for me. I did lose a little that way, but, and I know this isn't a good way to be, I'm not the type that can take months or years to lose. I started following a high protein, low fat and low carb way of eating more years ago than you'll ever get me to admit. This works for me. When I gain a couple, I go right back on it. The other times, I always watch my intake of those things, but can and do add more carbs and fat in. When I do gain more than I like, as I'm dealing with now, it's always stress caused, which in turn causes some other problems I deal with to rear their ugly heads. Until I can get thru those times, I can't do anything, no matter how much my mind wants me to. I can't tell you how much I have to lose, cuz I don't and won't own a scale. More power to you in being able to allow your body to do it's own thing. That's great, it's just not me. I know, I know, probably why I get so many 'lessons' in patience. I want it and I want it now! Yesterday would have been even better...LOL Maybe someday I'll wake up and be able to just let things happen in their own time, but I'm not holding my breath there...LOL Thanks for the kind words. I'm looking forward to hearing more form you... Love and Blessings, Kiki
Guest guest
Hi Kiki, Do you have nay weight to lose? Do you or anybody else have a low calorie cookie? Hugs~Connie Day 2 1/2... Well ladies, I'm half way thru day 3 of getting back on MY track. Doing what I know works for ME! I already feel something going on. That's what I love about knowing my body and how to handle it, I can see and feel results FAST! I let a lot of information, good tho it is/was, {just not for me}, get into my mind and get me all mixed up. I can apply that back once I get to where I want to be, which shouldn't be to much longer. I just got done with a mile walk, I usually do at least 2. Only did 1, cuz I've been fighting off some sort of sick for the past couple days. I have however, made sure to 'breath'. Guest guest
Kiki, I think that you did a fine job today of listening to your body. If you only felt like doing 1 mile, then so be it. I think we all owe it to ourselves to take a step back and assess how we treat our bodies. This NT philosophy really makes sense. I am deciding to let my body lose weight as it wants to- no deadlines, no torture, deprivation, etc. It will happen in due time.
Guest guest
Well, I guess I seldom listen to my body --instead, I expect it to listen to ME! And when it doesn't work out, then I bitch a lot!!! I don't think my weight gain is stress-induced -- if anything, I have had far, far less stress these past years than ever before -- I think perhaps my weight gain is due to comfort.... My husband and I have been following a low-carb plan -- he's never been overweight, in fact is quite light -- but he did have a cholesterol problem that cleared up beautifully by eating low carb. And he thrives on this way of eating. So I've tried to adapt to it... However, I really miss my apples and bread and other carbs -- I doubt that I will ever feel " satisfied " by a diet of meat and low-carb vegetables. A hunk of meat in fact often turns my stomach -- so I nibble at it, eat my salad -- and then end up either going hungry (often) or snacking (raw almonds are a particular downfall of mine). I'm not terribly overweight -- would like to lose about 20-25 pounds -- but I can still fit size 10, sometimes a 12 (ugh!) -- but I look " heavy " if I'm not standing perfectly tall and have my gut sucked in.... Time to go home! Everyone have a GREAT weekend! Bonnie Re: Re: Day 2 1/2... Mets {I'm sorry, if I should know your name, I don't seem to} I ALWAYS listen to my body. Guest guest
Thanks , That is what I did last night! I bought the kind you can bake 1 or or 2 or whatever. That makes me stop and think because if I want to eat more I have to INTENTIONALLY BAKE more! I think this is really going to help me with portion control!. Hugs~ Connie Re: Day 2 1/2...
