With 5.1 million Indians now living with HIV/AIDS, India has more

HIV/AIDS cases than any country in the world except South Africa.

While India's rich and established civil society is well positioned

to help the government implement a coordinated response to the

disease, India's vast size and incredible diversity represent

significant obstacles in the fight against AIDS. Will India be the

next Africa, with an AIDS epidemic spiraling out of control? Or,

will India succeed in curbing the epidemic at this pivotal moment.

Please join our panel of medical and policy experts as they discuss

the myriad forces behind the spread of AIDS in India -- including

gender inequality, poverty, and lack of access to education and

medicines -- and what is being done on the ground to combat the

disease.
