option to quick clot

Ok, I admit to having a CRS moment! What is the other clotting product out

there beside quick clot? Supposed to come in a pad?

There are a couple. The Red Cross dressing has thrombin and fibrin in

it, and there's another out there with chitosan. These two seem to be

working fairly well.

After that, there have been trials with gelatin, cellulose, and a few

other substances that haven't panned out so well, yet.

Haemcom dressing is the one I think but it is not licensed in every country

yet.

Tom,

HemCon is the chitosan based dressing. It comes in a 4 " x4 " pad about

a quarter inch thick. QuikClot also just came out with a dressing

based on the zeolite material encased in a dressing, called the ACS.
