ok:

    32 oz water

    12 oz Lye Crystal

    17 oz Safflower Oil

    64 oz Lard

      8 oz Coconut Oil

      1 c.  Oatmeal

alright I used MMS-calculated soap formula, but this is as far as my brain lets

me go, because I am still wondering if this is compatabile or not.

TIA

Hardness 39 you will need to reduce the water

cleansing 7 will be good for even sensitive skin

conditioning 55 good

bubbly lather 7 very low

creamy lather 32 very low (the combined lathers should be in the 60 to be

great lather

iodine 70 ok

ins 132 Balanced is 160

I would soak the oatmeal with some water so that it will not be scratchy

First of all, one cup of oatmeal might be a little too much for a batch this

size. It shouldn't hurt anything, though--it just might be rough.

Okay, checking the recipe...

It appears fine. Your water is on the high end. You might try 27 oz of water--it

may work better.

Your coconut percentage is low, and your lard is very high. This soap will move

fast in the pot, and will be hard as a rock. You might consider dropping the

lard down some, and increasing the coconut. More lather, still hard. Otherwise,

I don't think it will lather too much. It's only at 10% coconut--you can go

higher than that, and will probably enjoy the soap more.

Unless you wanted a low lather. In which case, this soap will please you. :)

It should work--let us know how it turns out!

I meant to add that I thought, my opinion only, that 1/2 cup ground extra

fine would be more than enough and be sure to hydrate it. It can be

scratchy. Reduce the water to 27.
