Larry,

Have you considered looking at the OGP and UKOOA heath standards ?

Cheers

Ian

PS OGP I have as a PDF and I may well have the UKOOA but would have to

check.

Physical Assessment Criteria

I am looking for some accepted physical assessment criteria for those

participating in overseas employment endeavors. I have been asked to

assist in the establishment of an employment standard and am trying to

find some foundational information as a basis.

Many hiring entities cite vague standards as " good general

health " , " passing a physical exam by a licensed physician " , and the

like. Some even require some sort of physical testing, usually taken

from a military standard.

Is anyone here aware of a fundamental criteria for such standards that

they can share? Hopefully a point-by-point assessment criteria based

upon some appropriate data. I am trying to avoid just adopting

someone else's criteria at random, with no rhyme or reason.

Thanks for any assistance offered.

No, I haven't. I will try to find them. If you wouldn't mind sending

me a copy of the OGP, that would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Larry,

I have recently completed a fitness for work protocol document for MEGI in

Equatorial Giuinea, which is currently being reviewed by the legal GURU's.It is

based across UKKOOA,the Netherlands, and the Norwegian standards. It is

obviously not law and will depend pretty much on whether your employer wishes to

aapply it. I am happy to let you have a copy of it, if you feell it is of any

use to you.

Mike,

Hello! Can I ask for a copy of your fitness to work protocol, if you wont

mind.I may also use it as an additional reference for making our fitness to work

protocol for the offshore supply vessels that we have here in the

Philippines.Presently we are using our local legislative requirements along with

the IMO safety standards and with my Barbara Bates physical examination

manual. It will really be a great help for us here.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Felix
