I've noticed a big drop in the amount of cellulite (or saddle bags) on my thighs and hips. I'm ending week 10 but almost went off the program this past week since I was sick and also had lots of company over the Easter weekend so I almost feel this past week doesnt count and I'm still in Week 10. I've only lost about 5-6 lbs of scale weight but have gone down from a 12 to a size 8. This program DOES work!

Guest guest
<<Does the cellulite go away as you get in shape? Just curious>> Cellulite, or 'cottage cheese' skin is just a form of fat deposits under the skin. The 'pucker' is said to be caused from toxins collected within the fatcells. I think that a combination of nutritious eating, exercising, and drinking lots of water (flushes your system) will make a BIG difference as you lower your bodyfat percentage overall. You cant spot reduce but if cellulite is just another form of fat then of course you will see it shrink along with the rest of your body. <<joni>> *If you're pear shaped, you're pear shaped, that's all there is to it. But, you can be a lean & strong pear rather than a soft overripe one! :-)*

Guest guest
Hi! Your goal to tone up will happen on this program! By eating 6 times a day and training intensely, I have lost 60 pounds. Your goal of 12% bodyfat is a little low however. That amount of bodyfat is considered " essential " , and a much healthier goal would be around 14-15 %. I went a little crazy with the cardio and diet and got down under 10 % bodyfat. Around 12%, my periods stopped, my hair was frizzy and started to fall out, and my skin was pale and ashy. I also had NO energy! Those figure competitors that you see with low, low bodyfat do not maintain that all year long, b/c it isn't healthy. You sound like you are well on your way. Follow the plan, and you will see those results! I used to have horrible cellulite, even before when I was what I call skinny fat (meaning no muscle). By weight training, my cellulite is gone. Hope this helps! Tara --------------------------------- - Helps protect you from nasty viruses.
Guest guest
Thanx Tara! It helps with motivation to know about the cellulite and that you did so well. I really thought around 12% is the best... cant wait to go to bed tonight to wake up so i can go to gym... it's nice working for something for a change and setting a goal to keep on track. > > Hi! > Your goal to tone up will happen on this program! Guest guest
I agree with Tara on the body fat. 14-15% would be a much healthier amount. I also agree with her on the cellulite issue...after this program you won't be able to remember what cellulite looks like! It's incredible. Now on the ever so lovely topic of constipation...its something I've dealt with for a long, looooong time so its difficult for me to say whether the eating plan aided it or not. However, the miracle cure for me has been adding flax seed oil to my diet. This group turned me on to it and I'm glad I listened. After just two weeks of taking it I noticed incredible results: clear skin, regularity and no cramping during periods. I know it was the oil because I made no other changes to my diet or routine during that time period. I recommend buying a bottle and adding a serving to your protein shakes or downing a shot with a chaser of juice. > > Hi there (again) > > I know i shoud've done it prior to starting this program, but this > first week on it I'm usnig to ease into it and fine tune my eating and > master the training tecniques...BUT, i need to set my goals. > > I want to drop my body fat (25% at present) to a more decent 12 - 13%, > i don't necessarily want to loose weight (weighing in at 65kilograms > on a 1,73 metre body). Guest guest
I've struggled with irregularity for years. Especially every time I change my routines (eating or other). I have good results from Psyllium Husks (I use the ones by Yerba). I was taking 1 Tbsp in water, 3x a day. But I stopped about 2 weeks ago, and have been regular - everyday I do have old-fashioned rolled oats, romaine or spinach, and other green vegetables. Little-to-no-processed foods Mon-Sat. I tried the flax seed oil (as recommended on this group) but didn't have results - but now I'm thinking that I didn't use it regularly enough for it to do its thing (I thought it would take effect after one or two days). If anything, I would say that this eating plan helps avoid constipation; it does not cause it at all! Certainly not if you're following the more natural, whole-food, approach to the plan. n At 03:51 AM 2/9/2006, you wrote: >Now on the ever so lovely topic of constipation...its something I've >dealt with for a long, looooong time so its difficult for me to say >whether the eating plan aided it or not. Guest guest
Great advice on the flax seed oil. I appreciate someone having the guts to ask about the constipation, because I'm battling this as well and didn't realize it could be attributed to the diet-duh! Where is the best place to purchase flax seed oil? gloriajsmith123 <no_reply > wrote: I agree with Tara on the body fat. 14-15% would be a much healthier amount. Guest guest
Yes...I had horrible constipation until I started eating a little more carbs and adding some healthy fats into my diet gloriajsmith123 <no_reply > wrote: I agree with Tara on the body fat. 14-15% would be a much healthier amount. Guest guest
I was just reading the Hussman site and he says that most women can see good results with cellulite when they hit the 18% bodyfat range. I think I found my new goal! I hope I can achieve it by my birthday in late April!
Guest guest
i know the eo's that are good for cellulite, yet i really do not see too huge a difference using them. i had heard that you should wrap yourself in saran wrap. i tried to do that. it just loosens & come off. has anyone had success w/cellulite? can you give me some pointers. thanks charlene
Guest guest
Essential oils can be beneficial in clearing the skin, but I've heard of a European deep tissue massage technique that was really helpful. A rubber mit is used, which has little pea-sized bumps on it, and the diluted essential oil is put on the skin, and this massage mit is used with quite a bit of force to actually break up the clumps of cellulite. Example here: http://well.ca/products/urban-spa-cellulite-massage-mitt_9578.html Gord > > i know the eo's that are good for cellulite, yet i really do not see too huge a difference using them. i had heard that you should wrap yourself in saran wrap. i tried to do that. it just loosens & come off. has anyone had success w/cellulite? can you give me some pointers. thanks > charlene >

Guest guest
I have recipes for a cellulite massage and bath oil using essential oils. All you have to use is one of those nubby bath brushes you get at the dollar store. It's plastic and has plastic nubs on it - they are kind of hard. You bathe in the EO's and use that brush to massage cellulite areas. As soon as I have time I will post recipes for you. Also I have read if you do body brushing before you get into bath/shower it really helps to get rid of the cellulite - just massage cellulite areas with EO blend after. I sell a kit with the EO set and brushes.
